Willowend is a wonderful seaside home with parking, a gorgeous garden, and stunning marshland views to picturesque Southwold, just an 11 minutes walk away across the bridge. Interiors have a fabulous spacious and light-filled layout where the living/kitchen/dining room has a balcony on the first floor, and three bedrooms (2 double,1 twin) and two bath/shower rooms sit on the lower floors with doors to the garden. You’re welcomed into the hallway in this interesting split level house with the door to the garden ahead of you and the twin, double, bathroom and shower rooms to your left. Wooden flooring runs throughout with carpet on the stairs. FIRST FLOOR LIVING/DINING ROOM Beautifully designed so you can enjoy the stunning views over the marshes to the beach huts and church in Southwold with a sociable open plan layout where the kitchen/dining room sits on one side of the central chimney and the living area on the other. Kitchen units wrap around on one side, housing an electric oven with separate grill and a four-ring hob, a dishwasher, and a free-standing microwave, Krups coffee machine with a milk frother (please bring standard sized pods with you), a kettle and toaster. There’s a bench and four chairs at the dining table so guests can enjoy meals at home. A couple of handsome sofas and selection of chairs and tables invite you to relax and enjoy the landscape, with bird books provided so you can do some twitching, and a basket of games for some family fun. There’s a TV, wood burner for cooler months, and doors opening to the balcony to soak up the sun. GROUND FLOOR DOUBLE ROOM The sun streams into this peaceful room where double doors open to the garden. A double bed sits between bedside drawers and a wardrobe, so you have plenty of space to unpack and settle in. TWIN ROOM Sitting at the front of the house, the low twin beds are better suited to children than adults and there’s storage in a chest of drawers and bedside unit. SHOWER ROOM Fitted with a hand-held shower in the shower cubicle, a wash basin, WC, natural light and a heated towel rail with towels supplied for all guests. BATHROOM The bath has a hand-held shower fitted over it with a shower screen and there’s a WC, wash basin, natural light, and a heated towel rail. UTILITY ROOM Perfect for those trips to the beach so you can wash the sand off in the sink and pop your towels in the dryer. There’s also a washing machine and additional fridge/freezer (4 shelves & veg drawer; 3 drawers). LOWER GROUND FLOOR Carpeted stairs take you down to the landing leading to the third bedroom, with hooks on the way for your coats or for guests in the double or twin rooms who want some hanging space. GARDEN BEDROOM Wake to the sun rising over the marshes and simply open the doors to the patio to make the most of the morning sun. Furniture includes a double bed with bedside units either side, a handy desk/dressing table with a couple of folding chairs, a long mirror and chest of drawers. OUTSIDE Willowend is set in an idyllic location on the edge of marshlands with far reaching views to the beach huts and picturesque Southwold which is just a short walk (approx. 15 mins) away across the bridge. The access to the house is along a quiet gravel drive (not ideal for sports cars) with off-road parking for three cars at the front. There’s a well-stocked corner shop a few minutes walk away, as well as The Randolph hotel where you can enjoy a pint of the local Adnams ale. The gorgeous garden at the back of the house has steps down to the patio area which is furnished for outdoor dining with a BBQ and a lawn running down to the creek. Please note that there’s no barrier to the creek so CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED at all times.
