Summer days at Solheim Lodge are made for slow mornings on the deck, evenings around the fire pit, and quiet mountain nights soaking in the hot tub under the string lights. This cozy Big Bear City cabin brings together the classic feel of a mountain retreat with the outdoor spaces guests love most - a fenced yard, private decks, BBQ, fire pit seating, and a relaxing hot tub after a day exploring the lake, trails, or Village.
Inside, the cabin has a warm, easygoing layout designed for small families, couples, or close friends. The main living room features a wood-burning fireplace, Smart TV, and a full sofa bed, creating a comfortable place to unwind after a summer hike or a day by the water. Open the deck access, settle in with a movie, or enjoy a relaxed night by the fire after dinner.
Sleeping arrangements
Solheim Lodge offers two upstairs bedrooms plus additional sleeping in the living room. The primary bedroom includes a king bed, ceiling fan, wall heater, wall air conditioner, and a desk, making it a comfortable space for both rest and remote work. The second bedroom is designed with families in mind and includes a twin-over-full bunk bed, a play kitchen, and a basket of children’s toys. The living room also includes a full sofa bed for additional sleeping flexibility.
Kitchen and dining
The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked for easy cabin meals, from morning coffee to casual dinners at home. Guests will find both a Keurig and a full-size coffee pot, cooking basics, dishes, utensils, wine glasses, mugs, toaster, blender, baking sheets, a full spice rack, and more. While there is no dishwasher, the kitchen is well equipped for simple meals, snacks, and relaxed evenings in.
Outdoor living
The outdoor space is one of Solheim Lodge’s best features. Spend summer afternoons on the deck, grill dinner on the gas BBQ, gather around the backyard fire pit, or soak in the hot tub as the lights glow around the trees. The fenced yard is especially convenient for guests traveling with dogs, and the cabin is pet-friendly for up to two dogs.

The cabin includes fast Wi-Fi, Netflix and Samsung TV streaming, air conditioning upstairs, wall heating, two decks, peekaboo mountain views, and parking for up to two cars on the paved driveway. A 220V EV charger is also available on the right side of the front deck - guests should bring their own cord.
