Start the day at the breakfast bar, gather around the indoor dining table, or take your meal outdoors when the weather calls for dining under the open sky. -Bedrooms and Bathrooms- Kosen House accommodates up to five guests across two bedrooms, with a king bed, queen bed, and an additional queen air mattress in the living area. The primary suite features a king bed, contemporary furnishings, curated artwork, and its own private patio. It’s a peaceful place to retreat after an afternoon by the pool, with a direct connection to the surrounding landscape. The second bedroom includes a queen bed and direct access to the backyard, making it especially convenient for guests who want to step outside and enjoy the morning air. The home has two full bathrooms. Inside, the main bathroom features a walk-in shower and double vanity. The second full bathroom is located outdoors near the pool, sauna, and cold plunge, allowing guests to move comfortably between the wellness amenities without returning through the house. -Golf & Wellness- Few desert getaways make it quite so easy to alternate between activity and relaxation. Start with a few pitch shots on the 60-yard golf range, practice your putting, or challenge your travel companions to a game of billiards indoors. When you’re ready to slow down, the sauna and cold plunge offer a refreshing contrast, followed by a swim or an unhurried soak in the hot tub. Whether you spend the day following your own wellness routine or simply moving between whatever sounds enjoyable, Kosen House gives you the freedom to make the property itself the destination. -Surrounding Area- Downtown Joshua Tree, La Copine and Giant Rock Meeting Room in Flamingo Heights, and the West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park all make good outings from Kosen House. The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies. Please note that the cabinets above the refrigerator and the hallway closet are reserved for owner and housekeeping supplies and will stay locked. A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed. Please note that Kosen House is in a remote location, and the final stretch to the home is on dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms. -House-Specific Rules- ► Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher. -Pool Heating- Please note that pool heating is not offered at this time. There is no fee to heat the hot tub. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced regularly, approximately between 9am and 4pm, and service may fall during your stay. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician’s busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Pet Policy- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Wildlife & Safety- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants.
