Welcome to Deer Ridge — a cozy mountain retreat nestled on beautiful Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Perfectly situated just 1.5 miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort and 2.5 miles from Fred’s Mercantile, this charming cabin offers easy access to the area’s best skiing, hiking, and local favorites, all while providing the comforts of home.
Arrive to flat parking level with the road, making access simple in any season. A short 11-step walk down leads to the entrance and a welcoming front porch hammock, ideal for relaxing among the mountain trees.
Inside, the main level features an open floor plan with a warm and inviting gas log fireplace, cozy sofa and chairs, and a large-screen TV mounted above the mantle. The dining table seats six, with room for three more at the granite peninsula, and the spacious kitchen with island makes it easy to prepare meals and gather together. A laundry center and half bath on this level add extra convenience for guests. The spacious master suite is also located on the main level and offers a king bed and large ensuite bathroom. Step outside to the covered deck, where you’ll find seasonal mountain views, a dining table for 6–8, and two large rockers for quiet mornings or sunset conversations.
The lower level is designed for fun and relaxation, featuring a den with seating, TV, foosball table, and Pac-Man arcade. Three comfortable bedrooms are located on this level — a king bedroom with TV and ceiling fan, a second king bedroom with a rustic log bed, and a bunk room with a twin-over-full bunk for additional guests.
Whether you’re planning a winter ski trip, a summer mountain getaway, or simply a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, Deer Ridge provides the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and classic mountain charm.

- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.

- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains required during times of snow/ice for all homes on Beech Mountain; chains may also be necessary in heavy snow - it is your responsibility to come prepared for winter weather. No refunds are given if you are not prepared for winter weather.
- Guest is responsible for any damages caused by intentional (non-accidental) actions.
- Host is not responsible for items left in the home.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
