Welcome to The Screaming Eagle at Eagles Nest, a luxury mountain retreat where modern elegance meets the rugged beauty of the High Country. Set around 4500’ elevation with sweeping views toward the North Carolina and Tennessee border, this exceptional home offers the perfect blend of comfort, sophistication, and adventure.
Step inside to a grand living room where soaring vaulted ceilings and rich tongue-and-groove woodwork create a warm, inviting atmosphere. A wall of windows floods the space with natural light and captures the breathtaking panorama beyond. Gather around the impressive gas fireplace, sink into the oversized L-shaped sofa, or enjoy a favorite movie on the large smart TV with streaming capabilities. This open, light-filled space flows seamlessly into the dining area, where the elegant table comfortably seats eight — the ideal spot for family dinners or lingering over a bottle of wine as the sun dips below the ridge.
The gourmet kitchen is designed with both beauty and function in mind. Expansive granite counters provide ample prep space, while the large island with seating for four invites conversation over morning coffee or evening cocktails. A full pantry just off the kitchen includes a convenient laundry center, ensuring that every detail of your stay is effortless.
For entertainment, the game room offers the perfect escape. Located off the mudroom entrance, it features a pool table, mini fridge, plush sofa, and a large TV — a welcoming haven for both kids and adults after a day of mountain exploration.
The main-level primary suite is a true retreat, with a king bed wrapped in luxury linens, a smart TV, and serene mountain views that greet you each morning. Its private ensuite bath boasts a deep soaking tub, an oversized tiled shower, and a double granite vanity, creating a spa-like experience right at home.
Upstairs, a cozy loft with two reading chairs overlooks the living area, offering a quiet spot to unwind with a book. The upper level also features two beautifully appointed king suites, each offering mountain views, TVs, and ceiling fans for year-round comfort. One suite includes a private tiled tub/shower and granite vanity, while the second is connected to the bunk room through a shared bathroom. This thoughtfully designed layout features a central tiled tub/shower combination that both rooms can access, yet each bedroom has its own private powder room for added comfort and privacy. The bunk room itself adds a playful touch for younger guests, with two twin-over-twin bunks and a TV — the perfect retreat for late-night laughter and morning cartoons.
The front porch offers comfortable rockers or head out back onto the expansive deck to take in the mountain air and views that stretch for miles. Dine alfresco at the outdoor table, relax in the hot tub or snuggle up in the comfortable seating area, or fire up the grill for a sunset barbecue. Steps lead down to the fully fenced lower yard — perfect for pets or outdoor play beneath the wide Carolina sky.
