Escape to our beloved mountains in this beautifully appointed 3-bedroom, 3 bathroom home that sleeps 8-10 guests. You will enjoy seasonal mountain views of Grandfather Mountain from late fall to early spring. Located between Boone and Banner Elk, this will be a perfect home-base for your next mountain adventure!
The cozy living room features a floor to ceiling stone, wood-burning fire place. Snuggle up and enjoy your favorite show or movie on the cable TV. The quaint kitchen is equipped with beautiful granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The large dining table comfortably seats 8 guests.
Each of the three bedrooms offers an attached bathroom, a TV in each room and a ceiling fan.
- The primary king ensuite is located on the main level.
- The upper level offers another king ensuite bedroom.
- The loft has a queen sleeper sofa and also has an access door to the upper level bathroom. The king ensuite bathroom is shared with the loft.
- The lower level bedroom is great for families or kids. This room is outfitted with a queen bed and twin trundle, plus an additional twin bed. There is an attached full bathroom on the lower level as well.
The lower level living space offers a flat-screen TV, a gas log fireplace, and an arcade gaming system.
Stepping outside, you’ll find a great space to enjoy the fresh mountain air. This home offers 3 covered porches. The front porch welcomes you to the home and also holds a gas grill conveniently located near the kitchen. Off of the front porch, just beyond the driveway is a stone-built chiminea with Adirondack seating - perfect for roasting s’mores. The back porch on the main level provides seating as well as a covered, outdoor dining table. The lower level porch offers more Adirondack seating and a warm and relaxing hot tub to enjoy after a day of hiking, skiing, adventuring or shopping!
Appalachian Seasons is located 8 miles to Boone, 8.5 miles to downtown Banner Elk, and 10 miles to downtown Blowing Rock. Each of these wonderful mountain towns offers delicious dining options and unique shopping and entertainment. The community of Valle Crucis is located a short drive away and offers a wonderful community park with a playground, a creek with public fishing, and they also host live music on occasion. The Original Mast General store is in front of the community park, as well as the Mast Store Annex and The Little Red Schoolhouse store. Appalachian Seasons is located 4.5 miles to Hawksnest Snow Tubing, 13.5 miles to Appalachian Ski Mountain and ice skating, 6 miles to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and 14 miles to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. You’ll also be 8 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway access which offers gorgeous overlook views and many hiking trails.
Additional Information:
- This home is pet friendly for two (2) mature and well-trained dogs only. Pets other than dogs not permitted. Pet rent is $25 per pet per night. Please keep dogs off of furniture and clean up waste.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of products including a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. All towels and linens will be provided for you.
- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles may be required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. Part of the road leading to this home is gravel and moderately steep in some places.
- The paved driveway allows space for up to 3 vehicles.
- Check in time is 4pm and Check out is by 10am EST.
- Guests may purchase firewood for the outdoor chiminea with at least one week notice. Firewood is $25 for 2 bundles of wood and one fire starter. Wood is delivered prior to arrival.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
MODERATE: CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
