Worm apartment completely renewed in a special area of Florence. Via dell’Erta Canina is on the hill famous for Piazzale Michelangelo, very quiet, green and fresh even during the heat of summer. Still it’s a very easy from the apartment to walk to any of the many sightseeing destinations or restaurants Florence offers.
The house is not equipped with AC because it is very cool and has never really needed it.
The apartment consists in 70 square meters divided into an entrance, a spacious room with king size bed and a wardrobe, a living room with a double sofa bed and an open space kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower and a little courtyard facing San Miniato. Very bright and ample, perfect for a short holiday or for a medium-term stay.
Guests will be welcomed by a member of staff available for helping out with any doubt or information needed.
The district of San Niccolò has kept its medieval heart in all respects. Here is in fact one of the few stretches of the ancient city walls still standing. The atmosphere along with the architecture has also remained very calm and peaceful, although there is no lack of excellent bars and restaurants. If the district of San Niccolò itself is not very large, it is nevertheless in a privileged position to reach the Ponte Vecchio and to climb the splendid hill of Piazzale Michelangelo, the Giardino delle Rose and even Villa Bardini. For walks lovers and everyone visiting Florence it’s a must see neighborhood. The Tower of San Niccolò, with its breathtaking view, can be visited during the summer season. While the Rampe, with its newly renovated caves and fountains, are the best access route to the Piazzale Michelangelo.
San Niccolò means spectacular gardens, hills in bloom, panoramic views and sunsets over the Arno. The neighbourhood, located on the Arno river, is one of the areas where you can get away from stress and admire Florence from a unique view. People in San Niccolò are still trying to live as a community. There are a lot of original shops with a mix of old artisan botteghe, art galleries, design boutiques, and vintage ateliers. Is for sure a walk you can’t miss while visiting Florence .Moreover, if you are in the mood for an aperitif or looking for an evening with typical vinaini and summer bars for sitting and relaxing after a walk day tour, you’ve come to the perfect neighbourhood! Here you will find glimpses of a Florence poised between romanticism and slow itineraries: such as those from Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato al Monte. Once here, keep your eyes open and don’t miss these lovely pieces of art, the gorgeous museums and stunning buildings known worldwide, such as the Dome, Uffizi Gallery and Giotto’s bell tower.
By bus : Arriving from Santa Maria Novella Station, the shortest trip is by bus C4 and then walking 6 minutes. By car the apartment is located downtown so within the traffic limited area, a restricted area controlled by a network of video cameras. You can reach the apartment to drop off your laggage and then exit but need to park into a private parking. Private parking garages offer the service of temporary permits for when you plan of entering and exiting the ZTL. Ask me to have the name and address of the closest Garage to the apartment
