Just steps from the beach in the delightful Croatian resort of Slano, thirty-five kilometres from Dubrovnik, the fabulous Villa Burla offers superb, comfortable accommodation for up to twelve lucky guests. This magnificent, contemporary villa boasts five-bedroom suites with the upper twin room, and it also offers a comfortable sofabed that you are welcome to use for an additional two guests.
The villa is built over three levels with the main living space on the ground floor. Open plan in design and with sliding doors to the terrace, the living space is drowned in brilliant natural sunlight and the two spaces feel like one. A corner sofa is perfectly positioned to enjoy the sensational vistas as well as the large television and you will certainly be dining with a view. The sleek, contemporary kitchen with fantastic appliances is a chef’s dream. It is very much part of the living space. Also, on the ground floor, you will find one of the bedrooms with a kingsize bed and a beautiful, stylish ensuite bathroom, as well as another full bathroom with a walk-in shower and a laundry room.
The terrace is home to a beautiful infinity swimming pool surrounded by loungers and a delightful alfresco dining space. You could not be closer to the sea.
Three beautiful bedrooms are located on the first floor, all with kingsize beds and stunning ensuite bathrooms with top-notch, trendy walk-in showers. Two bedrooms enjoy access to another fabulous furnished terrace where you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee or perhaps a glass of wine while getting ready for the evening.
The top level is home to a magnificent suite with a twin bedroom, an outstanding ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, a modern kitchen, and a living room that opens to a large terrace. The living area offers a sofabed which you are welcome to use. The terrace is stunning with a fantastic range of lounge furniture, the perfect spot to enjoy the sunsets. This amazing villa is located just steps from the beautiful beach of Slano. It is a lovely resort with shops, bars and restaurants 700 metres from the villa. The views are gorgeous with the stunning Elaphiti islands so close. You can hire a boat and explore the unspoiled nature, secluded beaches and caves of this beautiful archipelago. When staying in Slano you will enjoy beautiful scenery driving through pine forests, fruit orchards and olive groves. You will also discover castle walls and centuries-old forts. The Franciscan monastery offers a collection of Roman sarcophagi, and the beautiful summer residence of the wealthy Ohmucevic family is very impressive. If you want to leave the car at the villa, you can catch a bus into Dubrovnik’s Old Town, which takes 45 minutes.
Dubrovnik Old Town’s picturesque shops, restaurants, winding streets and historic sights are an absolute wonder. You will leave with many photographs! Dubrovnik is an up-market destination enjoying huge popularity and a fantastic gastronomic scene. There are three entrances to the walled city of Dubrovnik, including the main gate, Pile, Ploca by the port and Buze between the two. The Buze Gate will take you in via steep staircases. Placa Stradun, the wide, flat main street running the length of the city, is sprinkled with open-air bars and cafes.
The Peljesac Penisula is a premier wine region of Croatia. Visitors can tour the local vineyards and sample the local wines, stopping at the charming villages of Ston, 20 km away and Trstenik. It is a wonderful excursion, particularly if you are not the driver!
The Elaphiti islands are an archipelago very close to Slano. There are six islands, not including any small islets, although the main ones to visit are Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan. Kolocep and Lopud are car-free.
