The clear turquoise waters of the Adriatic make Bol a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Windsurfing, kite surfing, and stand-up paddleboarding are popular activities, thanks to the favorable winds and excellent facilities. Diving is also a must-do, with the island's underwater world teeming with marine life and offering fascinating dive sites, including shipwrecks and caves.
Bol's heritage is rich and well-preserved, with the Dominican monastery, founded in the 15th century, being a highlight. The monastery houses a museum with religious art, ancient manuscripts, and a renowned collection of prehistoric items found on the island. Strolling through the town's narrow streets, visitors will encounter charming stone houses, small squares, and local shops that exude a Mediterranean ambiance.
The town is also a gateway to exploring the rest of Brač, which boasts olive groves, vineyards, and the Vidova Gora, the highest peak of all the Croatian islands. For a more secluded experience, visitors can take a short boat trip to the nearby Paklina Islands, a group of islets with hidden coves and crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling away from the crowds.
