The land was acquired in 1907 by J.M. and Elizabeth Moore, and the home was completed in 1928. Known for their hospitality, the Moores hosted prominent figures from San Marcos, New Braunfels, Dripping Springs, and Seguin, making the manor a hub of social life. Their daughter, Bess, was married in the home in 1938 and raised five children here. For nearly a century, the home remained in the original family before being lovingly restored by its current steward—bringing new life to this cherished landmark while preserving its welcoming spirit.
