Morning light filters through towering windows, settling quietly over the pines and revealing mountain peaks, seasonal marshland, and the calm that makes Big Bear so special—especially in winter. Coyote Flat is set on easy-to-access, flat ground in a quiet residential neighborhood where kids can safely play outside and days unfold at a slower pace. The home fronts Baker Lake, a seasonal lake and nature preserve that, while not intended for recreation, offers peaceful lakefront scenery and exceptional opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife viewing throughout the year.
The setting feels private and serene while remaining just minutes from ski resorts, hiking and cycling trails, local shops, dining, and Big Bear Lake. Winter days are spent on the slopes or exploring snowy forest paths, while evenings are made for slow dinners, crackling fires, and time together indoors. The home is meticulously maintained and spotless, offering a true turnkey mountain retreat.
Inside, the great room immediately becomes the heart of the home. Soaring three-story vaulted ceilings, exposed log walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping mountain and seasonal lake views. A stone, wood-burning fireplace anchors the space, creating a warm gathering spot after a day in the cold. Sink into comfortable seating, stream a movie, or connect your music to the whole-house sound system as snow falls quietly outside.
The kitchen is designed for shared meals and long conversations. This gourmet space features professional-grade KitchenAid appliances, including a six-burner gas cooktop, pot filler, built-in griddle, double ovens, and generous prep space. Multiple coffee options—Keurig, drip, and French press—make slow winter mornings effortless, while the large dining table invites everyone to linger long after dinner.
