Climb the wooden stairs and discover an outdoor retreat overlooking the desert, with mountains stretching across the horizon. The pool even has a transparent viewing panel along its side, giving the space a distinctive resort-like feel. Swim with the views all around you, settle into a lounger, or claim the outdoor bed beneath the pergola for an afternoon with absolutely nothing on the schedule. Down below, a stone pathway connects another collection of favorite spots. Warm up in the wooden barrel sauna, cool off beneath the open-air shower surrounded by cactus, then settle into the hot tub. With each experience just steps from the next, an ordinary afternoon can turn into a leisurely spa day. There’s plenty of room for the social side of vacation, too. Gather around the fire pit, mix drinks at the outdoor bar, or bring dinner outside to the dining table beneath the pergola. The front porch offers another place to take in the mountain scenery, while the west-facing patio off the kitchen is particularly inviting as the evening light settles over Joshua Tree. -Living Area- The main living room is comfortable and full of natural character, with a leather sofa, patterned textiles and tall windows that frame the surrounding desert mountains. You’ll find a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, dishes and dining essentials. When the weather calls you outside, take dinner to the outdoor dining area or enjoy a drink on the west-facing patio as the sun goes down. -Bedrooms and Bathrooms- Moonbeam Ranch accommodates up to eight guests across three bedrooms with four beds and 2.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own personality, with comfortable furnishings and a connection to the surrounding landscape. The primary suite is a restful retreat with a king bed, soft neutral bedding and views toward the nearby mountains and boulders. Its ensuite bathroom features a double vanity, rich green tile and a walk-in shower with a built-in bench. The second bedroom features a queen bed, warm accents and windows overlooking the backyard and evening sky. A walk-in closet provides room to unpack, and the shared bathroom is just outside the door, with a vessel sink and a shower finished in scalloped tile. The third bedroom offers two beds positioned near the windows, with mountain views and closet storage. It’s a natural choice for children, siblings or friends sharing the house. -Casita and Arcade- When it’s time for a little friendly competition, the separate casita is where the action happens. A row of retro-style arcade cabinets brings old-school fun to the desert, with games ready for anyone determined to claim the highest score. The casita also has its own comfortable sectional and patio doors, making it a second living room where part of the group can play games and hang out while others enjoy a quieter evening in the main house. It’s this extra gathering space that makes Moonbeam Ranch especially enjoyable for families and groups of friends. There’s room to be together, room to spread out, and plenty of reasons to spend another day at home. -Surrounding Area- Downtown Joshua Tree and Joshua Tree Village have shops, cafés and galleries, and Joshua Tree National Park is there for the days. Pappy and Harriet’s in Pioneertown and Palm Springs make good outings. Watch the sunrise over Coyote Hole Canyon before heading into the park. The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies. A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed. Parking: an oversized two-car garage, ample driveway parking and an RV parking spot with an electrical hookup for guests traveling with their own rig. -Hot Tub and Pool Care- Please shower before and after using the hot tub and pool, and rinse off oils and lotions before entering. No pets of any kind in the hot tub or pool, and no alcohol near the water. Please heat the hot tub with the cover on, keep the covers on and secured after use and do not stand or sit on them. Children must be supervised at all times. If the hot tub or pool is left in poor condition, an additional cleaning fee may be charged. -Starter Supplies- We provide starter items, including towels, shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee and trash can liners. We recommend bringing additional supplies for longer stays. -House-Specific Rules- ► There is ample driveway parking for multiple vehicles, plus an oversized two-car garage and an RV parking spot. -Pool Heating Fee- Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival, as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you’d like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours’ notice to heat the pool. Pool heating is available for an additional fee. Please message us for the current rate before requesting. During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician’s busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Pet Policy- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Wildlife & Safety- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert. -Security Camera- For your security, there is a doorbell camera at the front door, which records 24/7 and monitors vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub areas. -Cell Service- Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property. -Damage Waiver Policy- Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
