Sunset Shores is the ideal Pacific City family vacation rental tucked between the beach access of Bob Straub State Park and the Nestucca River. This large and roomy home has four levels; the first-floor entrance has plenty of space to take off sandy shoes and hang coats before heading up the stairs to the great room. Curl up on the cozy sofa and watch the waves crash around Haystack Rock or grab a glass of wine and climb the unique spiral staircase to the widow’s walk to watch the sunset. Sunset Shores is just around the corner from the boat launch on the Nestucca River, so bring your boat or your longboard, shortboard, boogie board, sandboard, kayak, paddleboard, and any other beach toys that you deem essential for this getaway.
After a day of fishing for salmon or playing in the surf, rinse off in the outdoor shower then head inside to relax in this cozy home.
First Floor: The entry floor level features a family room great for watching the game on the large smart flat-screen TV or challenging each other to a rousing game of foosball. Laundry and a full bathroom with a shower are located on this floor.
Second Floor: There are four bedrooms on this level. The Bunkroom features three twin-size bunk beds (six twin beds total). Bedroom 2 features two single twin beds. Bedroom 3 has a king bed with a soft pillow top mattress. Bedroom 4 is an ensuite with a walk-in shower, a king bed, and a twin-day bed with a trundle. A guest bathroom with a bathtub is off the hall on this floor. Sunset Shores has room for everyone!
Third Floor: This is where family and friends gather. The large, modern kitchen has plenty of space to whip up gourmet meals for your group. The kitchen features a cooktop on the island, double wall ovens, a vegetable sink, loads of counter space, a pantry, and seating for 5 along the bar. This Great Room features a large, comfy sofa, a dining table that seats 8, and make a day playing in the surf. The fifth king bedroom is also located on this floor. There is also a full bathroom located on this floor.
Fourth Floor: Narrow spiral stairs take you up to the Widow’s Walk from the Great Room. The small, cozy room has windows on all four sides showcasing the views of the Nestucca River and hills to the east, the Pacific Ocean, and Haystack Rock to the west. Bring a book and a glass of wine and escape to this hideaway.
Sunset Shores is just about a mile from the downtown hub of Pacific City. Leave the cars at home and hop on the free Pacific City Trolley for a ride.
Shred the Coast! Just minutes away, the Pacific City Skatepark offers world-class fun for all ages. Designed by the famous Dreamland crew, this concrete playground features a unique "Dory Boat" bowl—a nod to our local fishing heritage. Pack the skateboards and let the kids burn off some energy with a view of the dunes!
