With sweeping mountain views, a private hot tub, a spacious game loft, and more than 12 wooded acres with trails to explore, there is something here for everyone. Mountain Access Information If you want to enjoy all that the mountains have to offer, you’ll need to go off pavement. Luxe Mountain Haven is accessed by a very steep gravel road. 4WD or AWD vehicles are absolutely required year-round, and during winter months, chains may also be necessary. The property has a garage with space for 2 vehicles, as well as additional outdoor parking next to the home. If any members of your group do not have a 4WD/AWD vehicle, parking is available near the property entrance, and guests may be shuttled to Luxe Mountain Haven by members of their party with a suitable mountain vehicle. Please make sure your vehicle is appropriate for the road conditions before booking. Main Floor — Gather, Relax & Unwind Step inside to a dramatic open-concept great room featuring soaring vaulted ceilings, a two-story stone fireplace with gas logs, and plush seating that invites everyone to gather. Whether you’re relaxing after a day in the mountains or settling in for a cozy movie night, this is the heart of the home. The great room flows seamlessly into a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, and a walk-in pantry. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, whether you’re preparing a big family dinner or grabbing a quick snack before heading out to explore. The dining table seats 10, while the kitchen island provides seating for 4. The main level features three bedrooms, including a serene primary suite with a queen bed and luxurious ensuite bathroom featuring a soaking tub, double vanity, custom tile shower, and spacious walk-in closet. Two additional bedrooms each offer a queen bed and private TV and share a spacious hall bathroom with double vanities and a shower/tub combination. A dedicated office provides a quiet space for remote work or catching up on emails, while the nearby mudroom and laundry area make it easy to keep everything organized after a day of outdoor adventures. Upstairs Game Loft & Bunk Room Fun Head upstairs for a dedicated space for fun and friendly competition. Challenge your group to ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, basketball, or classic arcade games, or gather around the rustic barrel table for cards, puzzles, and family game nights. A fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a picnic table creates the perfect setting for s’mores, storytelling, and evenings spent beneath the night sky. The front deck offers breathtaking mountain views and additional seating for morning coffee or an evening drink, while the spacious grassy lawn provides room to enjoy the outdoors. Luxe Mountain Haven sits on more than 12 wooded acres with professionally cleared mountain trails, giving you the rare opportunity to explore the High Country right outside your door. Guests can also enjoy the property’s private pond, where you can cast a line and enjoy a relaxing afternoon outdoors. No license is required to fish in the private pond, though an NC fishing license is required for fishing in all public waters nearby. Whether you’re looking for a quiet morning hike, an afternoon mountain-bike adventure, a friendly game of ping pong, or a relaxing evening in the hot tub beneath the stars, Luxe Mountain Haven gives you plenty of ways to enjoy the mountains without ever leaving the property. Nearby must see attractions include: Ashe County Cheese - see cheese being made and enjoy delicious ice cream! (11 minutes away!) Molly Chomper Cidery (25 minutes away!) Ashe County Farmers Market every Saturday from 8am to 1pm from April to October! (12 minutes away!) Mount Jefferson State Park - great place for family photos. Stunning views! (15 minutes away) Grayson Highlands State Park - 32 minutes away. Excellent hiking with scenic views, more than 5,000 feet in elevation. See wild horses! (50 minutes away!) Old Barn Winery - Live music, food trucks, perfect atmosphere! (9 minutes away!) Enjoy a sunny day on the New River using Zaloo’s Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes. Public put-in locations are nearby, as well for those bringing their own kayaks! Additional Notes: - Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations. - This home is pet-friendly and allows one mature, well-trained dog per reservation with an additional pet rent of $25 per night. - The property is accessed via a steep gravel driveway that has sharp turns. 4WD or AWD is required year-round, and Chains may be required in times of snow. Please make sure you come prepared with the proper vehicle, as refunds can not be issued due to inadequate transportation. - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. Towels, hair dryer and linens will be provided ​​​​​​​- Check in is after 4pm and Check out is by 10am EST - Firewood for the outdoor fire pit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax. CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. ​​​​​​​All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
