Things to Know A few things we would like you to know before you arrive, so your stay is as comfortable as possible. ️ Colorado mountain homes are not typically equipped with central air conditioning. Thanks to Breckenridge’s cool alpine climate, summer evenings generally range between 45° and 55°F. Opening the windows allows fresh mountain air to naturally cool the home, a portable air conditioning unit is provided in the living room, and portable fans are provided throughout for added comfort. ️ Breckenridge sits at approximately 9,600 feet. We recommend taking your first day gently and drinking plenty of water while you adjust to the altitude. Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is highly recommended from October through May.
