As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a spacious and tastefully decorated living area that opens up to a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Lakeside Escape is fully equipped with all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including Wi-Fi, heating, and a well-appointed kitchen. The large windows bring the outside in, providing a constant reminder of the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Outdoor Area:
Enjoy direct access to the lake, where you can swim, kayak, or simply relax on the shoreline. The expansive deck is the perfect spot for a barbecue or evening cocktails while watching the sunset.
Location:
Just a short boat ride away on the local water taxi or 20 minute drive, Queenstown offers a wide range of activities, from adrenaline-pumping adventures to world-class dining and shopping. In winter, hit the slopes at one of New Zealand’s premier ski destinations. The Remarkables Ski Mountain entrance is only a short 10 minute drive away. For golf enthusiasts, the Kelvin Heights Golf Course is a 2 minute drive or short walk.
Guest Access:
Arrival instructions will be sent 48 hours prior to arrival.
Guest will have full access to the two bedroom apartment that is private and overlooking the lake.
Interaction:
We will be available to answer any questions you may have prior or during your stay. The Tahuna Team will also be on call for any urgent needs after 5 pm.
Neighborhood:
Kelvin Peninsula is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu in the Otago region of New Zealand. It sits between the main body of Lake Wakatipu and the Frankton Arm — a short inlet on the lake’s northern shore — near the point where the lake flows out into the Kawarau River.
Getting Around:
There is a public bus stop located on Peninsula Road about 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
You can also catch the water taxi from Bay View (located 10 minute walk from the apartment) which takes you to Queenstown CBD.
Other things to note:
Steps: Access is via steps, which may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. This apartment is below the main house where the owners live.
The T&C’s for staying at a Property Manager will be sent to you before arrival.
This property is situated in a peaceful residential area. We kindly ask that you respect our neighbor’s by keeping noise to a minimum at all times, particularly between 8:00 pm and 8:00 am.
In accordance with Queenstown Council regulations, the following rules apply:
No amplified sound or music is permitted in outdoor living areas between 8:00 pm and 8:00 am.
Outdoor living areas must be vacated between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
During the hours of 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, neighbor’s or the property management company may contact the council to report any noise disturbances or concerns.
