Come home to Teruel and you are in Cuatro Caminos, the working, residential Madrid of long-standing neighbors, neighborhood bars and cafés where the day starts with a coffee at the counter. Bravo Murillo, the barrio’s main shopping street, is close, and Cuatro Caminos metro (lines 1, 2 and 6) connects you to the center and beyond. The streets are practical, local and unpretentious, which is exactly their appeal.
Start in the kitchen: orange cabinetry, retro cement tile on the floor and a square island with a gas stove, set up for anyone who loves to cook for a crowd. The dining space beside it is ample, so a long lunch or dinner can stretch as long as the conversation does.
