Chalet Can Barrio is a spacious and welcoming holiday retreat located between the historic town of Pollença and the beaches of Puerto Pollença, just a five-minute drive from both. Its peaceful surroundings, open mountain views and Mediterranean garden create a relaxing atmosphere from the moment you arrive.
Upon entering the house, a bright dining-living area sets the tone for gatherings and shared meals. Next to it, a comfortable lounge with television offers the ideal space to unwind after a day at the beach. The kitchen, also on the ground floor, is fully equipped and provides everything needed to cook comfortably during your stay. The property offers free wifi throughout the house.
On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The remaining bedrooms are located on the upper floor, accessed from the dining area. A corridor leads to five additional bedrooms: two double rooms with private bathrooms (one with bathtub, the other with shower) and access to a generous shared balcony with mountain views; and three twin rooms, each with pleasant views of the garden, the pool or the surrounding landscape.
All bedrooms feature hot/cold air conditioning available 24 hours.
The exterior is one of Can Barrio’s highlights. The spacious terrace and garden surround a private pool ideal for cooling off under the Mediterranean sun. A large barbecue area and stone oven invite you to enjoy outdoor meals in a relaxed, natural setting with great privacy.
The property’s location makes it easy to enjoy the best of Pollença. In the old town, you’ll find restaurants, cafés, local shops, traditional markets and a charming historic atmosphere. Every Sunday, a farmers’ market takes place in the main square. The beach of Puerto Pollença is perfect for sunbathing or practicing water sports such as kayaking, paddle surfing or windsurfing. Renting a car is recommended to explore nearby coves, hiking routes, wineries and the island’s rich gastronomy.

About the area
Pollença, nestled in the northern corner of Mallorca, Spain, is a charming town that offers a delightful blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. This picturesque destination is a treasure trove for travelers seeking a serene escape with a touch of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
The town's historic center is a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets that lead to the grand Plaça Major, the main square. Here, visitors can admire the imposing 13th-century church, Església de Nostra Senyora dels Àngels, and enjoy the bustling weekly market where local artisans and farmers showcase their products.
Pollença's Roman bridge, known as "Pont Romà," is a testament to the town's ancient past and is a popular spot for photographs. The Calvari steps, a set of 365 stone steps, offer a challenging climb rewarded with panoramic views of the town and the surrounding Sierra de Tramuntana mountains. At the top, the Oratory of Calvari is a peaceful sanctuary worth visiting.
For those interested in art and culture, the Museu de Pollença houses a collection of works by local and international artists, as well as artifacts that narrate the town's history. The town also hosts the prestigious Pollença Festival, which attracts music lovers with its classical concerts held in the atmospheric Santo Domingo cloister.
Nature enthusiasts will find Pollença an ideal base for exploring the Tramuntana range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hiking, cycling, and bird watching are popular activities in this region, with trails leading to stunning landscapes and hidden coves. The nearby Cap de Formentor offers dramatic cliffside views and the picturesque Formentor Beach, with its crystal-clear waters, is perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
Pollença's port, Port de Pollença, is a short drive away and is renowned for its beautiful beachfront promenade lined with cafes and restaurants. The port area also offers a range of water sports, including sailing, kayaking, and windsurfing.
The town's culinary scene reflects the rich agricultural heritage of the region, with local restaurants serving traditional Mallorcan dishes made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. From tapas bars to upscale dining, there's something to satisfy every palate.
In summary, Pollença captivates visitors with its historic charm, cultural richness, and stunning natural surroundings. It's a place where one can immerse in the slow pace of island life, enjoy the arts, and embrace the great outdoors, all within the beautiful setting of Mallorca.
