Diamantina, the first house ever built in Agios Stephanos, dates back to the 1800s and sits just behind the village’s seafront. The current owner, who inherited the property from his great-grandfather, has lovingly restored it into a charming holiday home. During the excavation for the swimming pool, archaeologists uncovered pottery fragments estimated to be around 2,300 years old, providing evidence of continuous habitation in the area since ancient times.
Accessed by traditional Corfiot stone steps and featuring a covered porch, Diamantina boasts a beautiful walled courtyard filled with roses, oleander, and a mature weeping willow shading the pool. The shops, harbour tavernas, and beach are only a short stroll away, making it an ideal choice for guests who prefer to explore on foot. Those wishing to venture further can hire a small boat and moor it just 100 metres from the house. Blending history, comfort, and authentic village character, Diamantina offers a truly distinctive setting for a stay in Agios Stephanos.

One of the main attractions in Kassiopi is its stunning harbor, where visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along the waterfront, admiring the array of boats and yachts that dot the clear blue waters. The harbor is also lined with a variety of tavernas and cafes, perfect for sampling local Greek cuisine or sipping on a refreshing ouzo as you watch the world go by.
History enthusiasts will appreciate the ruins of the ancient Kassiopi Castle, which dates back to Roman times. The castle's remnants are perched on a hill above the village, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area and the Albanian coast. Exploring these ruins is not only a journey through history but also provides an opportunity for some stunning photography.
For beach lovers, Kassiopi boasts several pebbly beaches with crystal-clear waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The most popular among them is Kalamionas Beach, which is well-organized with sunbeds and umbrellas for hire. The more secluded Bataria and Kanoni beaches are just a short walk away, offering a quieter atmosphere for those looking to escape the crowds.
The village itself is a maze of narrow streets filled with shops selling local handicrafts, jewelry, and olive wood products, making it a great place to pick up souvenirs. At night, Kassiopi comes alive with a modest but lively nightlife scene, where visitors can enjoy live music and dance in the bars and clubs.
Nature lovers can venture out on hiking trails that wind through olive groves and cypress trees, leading to secluded coves and offering breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. Boat trips are also available, providing the opportunity to explore the scenic coastline and visit nearby secluded beaches and caves.
Kassiopi's blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and modern amenities make it an ideal destination for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.
