Generous in size and located in a delightful rural setting at the foot of the historic village of Svoronata, this four-bedroom property offers all you could wish for from a luxury family holiday.
The open plan, single storey design with polished concrete flooring makes for a cool, airy feel throughout, enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors allowing plenty of light to flow through the space. Décor and furnishings are ultra-contemporary yet comfortable, with a semi-industrial twist that’s very much in vogue.
A huge, plump sofa stretches across the living area, inviting you to put your feet up and watch a movie or catch up on some holiday reading. A striking dining suite seating ten people nestles beside the huge bifold doors that open out onto the poolside terrace, ideal for more formal meals or celebrations.
The very modern, all-white kitchen is a cook’s dream, with sleek, handless cabinetry providing acres of storage space and a fantastic island unit housing the sink and hob that doubles as a breakfast bar. It’s a very sociable design, allowing you and your fellow chefs, or even those who prefer a hands-off role, to spend good times together over the food preparation. A further dining table is also positioned by the window, offering alternative seating that could come in handy if you’re serving meals for little ones.
The handsome bedrooms are tastefully decorated with well-built, stylish furniture and clever little touches that demonstrate the designer’s great attention to detail. The two main bedrooms each have an en suite wet room with a stylish wash basin, while the other two bedrooms share a luxurious bathroom with a free-standing bathtub.
Outside, a magnificent covered terrace runs across the back of the house, providing welcome shade and a choice of seating areas overlooking the gardens. The dove grey concrete flooring extends to the outside terraces, creating an attractive contrast to the lush green lawns and bright turquoise pool. Beyond is a collection of characterful old olive trees, beautifully framing the lovely view and providing a charming backdrop for alfresco dining on the terrace where the all-essential barbecue resides.
Besides the private pool to provide endless hours of fun, there’s also a children’s play area, basketball net and goal posts in the long stretched surroundings to keep the younger members of the family happy.
A handful of tavernas and a mini market are within strolling distance in the village, however when you’re ready to explore further afield you’ll find a wonderful selection of restaurants, shops, cafés and bars just fifteen minutes’ drive away in Argostoli. Take a wander through the bustling markets and along the palm-tree lined harbour, relaxing over a coffee, Kefalonia-style, as colourful fishing boats and gleaming yachts sail in and out of the marina. The gorgeous golden sands of Ammes Beach are also just a few minutes’ walk from the villa, with exemplary turquoise blue waters that are a Mediterranean dream.

About the area
Cephalonia, the largest of the Ionian Islands in Greece, is a captivating destination that offers a blend of stunning natural beauty, rich history, and charming local culture. Known for its dramatic landscapes, the island boasts mountainous terrain, lush forests, and some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.
One of the island's most famous beaches is Myrtos, renowned for its dazzling white pebbles and turquoise waters, set against a backdrop of steep cliffs. It's a perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming, and capturing breathtaking photographs. Similarly, Antisamos Beach, featured in the film "Captain Corelli's Mandolin," offers a picturesque setting with its crystal-clear waters and surrounding green hills.
Cephalonia is also home to the enchanting Melissani Cave, where visitors can take a boat ride on an underground lake that is illuminated by a natural skylight, creating a magical atmosphere. The nearby Drogarati Cave, with its impressive stalactites and stalagmites, is another geological marvel not to be missed.
The island's rich history is evident in its various archaeological sites and historic landmarks. The Castle of Saint George, perched atop a hill near the village of Peratata, provides panoramic views of the island and a glimpse into its Venetian past. The Archaeological Museum in the capital, Argostoli, offers insights into Cephalonia's ancient history, showcasing artifacts from the Mycenaean, Hellenistic, and Roman periods.
Cephalonia's villages are full of character and charm, with Assos being one of the most picturesque. This small village is built on a peninsula and features colorful houses, a Venetian fortress, and tranquil harbors. Fiscardo, another beautiful village, retains its traditional Ionian architecture and is a hub for yachting, with a vibrant waterfront lined with cafes and restaurants.
The island's culinary offerings are a delight, with local tavernas serving fresh seafood, traditional Greek dishes, and the famous Robola wine, which is produced in Cephalonia's own vineyards. The island's olive oil and honey are also highly prized for their quality and flavor.
For those who love adventure, Cephalonia provides ample opportunities for hiking, with Mount Ainos, the highest peak in the Ionian Islands, offering challenging trails and the chance to encounter the unique Kefalonian fir tree. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy snorkeling, diving, and kayaking in the island's clear waters.
In essence, Cephalonia is a destination that offers something for everyone, from breathtaking natural wonders and historical treasures to delightful culinary experiences and warm Greek hospitality. It's a place where the beauty of the Ionian Sea meets the charm of traditional Greek island life.
