Kiri Cottage, Hawkridge

Kiri Cottage is the largest of four holiday cottages on the farm, sleeping up to 6 across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The entrance opens onto an open-plan living and dining area with a wood-burner, dining table and chairs, comfortable seating and a well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. A smart TV completes the living space. One ground floor bedroom offers zip-link beds that can be arranged as a twin or a super-king, with its own en-suite bathroom comprising bath with shower over, toilet and hand basin. A separate family bathroom, also with bath and shower over, is located on the ground floor. Two further staircases lead to the remaining bedrooms at opposite ends of the cottage: a spiral staircase to a bedroom with another set of zip-link beds (twin or super-king), and a wooden staircase to a mezzanine bedroom with a king-size bed overlooking the living area below. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with a basket of logs, kindling and matches for the wood-burner during cooler months. GBP 20 of heating and electricity is included, generally ample for a week’s stay. Wifi is available throughout. A cot, high chair and stair gate can be provided on request, making the cottage well suited to families, though it is not suitable for guests with restricted mobility or wheelchair users. Guests share access to a communal washing machine and dryer in an external laundry room. Outside, the cottage has its own patio with a picnic bench and BBQ, overlooking a shared garden and the moorland beyond. A children’s play area with climbing frame, wendy house and picnic table is also available on the farm. Ample parking is available close to the cottage. Dogs are welcome, up to a maximum of two per booking, for a supplement of GBP 20 each. Stabling and paddock turnout can also be arranged for horses at an additional charge.
