The Barn, Timberscombe

The Barn is a pretty stone building set in the heart of Timberscombe, offering single-level accommodation with wonderful high ceilings, traditional wooden beams and its own enclosed gravel courtyard. Sleeping up to 2 guests, it has one bedroom with a king-sized bed, a sitting room, a separate well-equipped kitchen and a ground floor shower room. The entrance opens directly into the open-plan dining and living room, which has a table and chairs, a comfortable sofa, an armchair and a TV. The bedroom sits at the far end of the living room, with the kitchen and shower room at the other end of the building. The cottage-style kitchen includes an under-counter fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle and toaster, along with cookware, saucepans, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Heating, electricity and reliable fibre broadband are all included, and central heating can be adjusted throughout to suit your preferences. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with a hairdryer, though guests may wish to bring their own towels for day trips away from the cottage. Outside, the secure courtyard directly outside The Barn includes a large six-seater table and chairs set for guests to use. The courtyard provides shared access with the owners’ home next door, so guests may see them (and their friendly Labrador, Rowan) coming and going; the owners are on hand nearby to offer advice if needed. Parking is possible in the courtyard, though most guests prefer to park on the street nearby, which is free. One well-trained, small to medium-sized dog is welcome for a supplement of GBP 30 per stay; please keep dogs off the furniture and do not leave them unattended at any time. Please note the property is not suitable for children and is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for those with restricted mobility. Guests can arrive from 4 pm and should depart by 10 am.
