Seagulls Rest, Minehead

Seagulls Rest is a stone-built Victorian semi-detached holiday home in Minehead, sleeping 7 across four bedrooms, just across the road from the seafront. There are two king-size bedrooms, one twin and one single room, plus two bathrooms: a ground-floor shower room with toilet, and a first-floor family bathroom with corner bath and shower. The side entrance opens into a small hall with stairs to the first floor, a sitting room to the left with lovely views over the Bristol Channel, and a dining room to the right with a table seating up to 8. The kitchen sits beyond the dining room, fitted with an integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, washing machine, tumble dryer, a hob-top Italian coffee maker and a cafetiere, with an external door leading to the courtyard garden. A shower room with toilet and hand basin is at the far end of the kitchen. Upstairs on the first floor are a double bedroom with a dressing area and sea views, a single bedroom with sea view, and the family bathroom. Two further bedrooms, one double and one twin (with sea view), are on the second floor. The property has gas-fired central heating throughout, one TV in the lounge, upgraded WiFi mesh (33mb+) for strong coverage in every room, and portable fans in each bedroom. Bed linen and towels are provided, though guests should bring their own beach towels. A high chair is available, plus space in the single bedroom for a travel cot (not provided), and a single fold-up bed without linen or pillow. Outside is a private, slate-tiled courtyard with a six-seater patio set and additional seating, along with a raised stepped wall that’s a lovely spot to enjoy the sea view. No barbecue is provided but guests are welcome to bring their own. Off-road parking for one car is available in the courtyard, with a parking permit supplied for a second car for use along Quay West and Quay St.
