The project of renovating the old mansion was appointed to the architect Nasos Dellis who revitalized it by completely renovating the mansion whilst preserving the elements of its identity and history that made the building one of a kind. The mansion, exudes classic Athenian elegance while providing luxurious and comfortable accommodation.
The building is spread over three levels: on the first and second floor there are 12 apartments, all special and different from each other, and on the third floor there is a welcoming roof garden where one can see the Acropolis.
The colors that clothed the building range in earth tones, with emphasis on the olive color. Each object is selected with care and respect for the history and aesthetics of the building. Vintage desks, chests of drawers, books, typewriters, and lamps make the visitor go to the old - noble - Athenian era. The ceiling paintings in the first-floor rooms, preserved from the original building, give an elegant touch of uniqueness. Romantic bedrooms with wooden ceilings, comfortable mattresses and brand-name linens will make sleeping a unique experience.
All apartments have fully equipped kitchenettes with glass glasses, vintage collectible plates, mugs, coffee machine and small hotplates. Bathrooms are adorned with white marble and bronze sinks and showers. In some apartments there are also external private hot tubs on a small fenced terrace.
Visitors can easily walk to all points of interest in the historic center, as Athens Quarters is located just 5’ from the Syntagma and Monastiraki, 15’ from the Acropolis, 8’ from Plaka and other areas that the experienced team will suggest.

About the area
Plaka, nestled at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, is a charming neighborhood that offers a delightful blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty. Known as the "Neighborhood of the Gods," Plaka's labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture transport visitors back to a bygone era, making it a must-visit for anyone traveling to Athens.
The area is steeped in history, with landmarks such as the Tower of the Winds, an ancient octagonal clocktower, and the Roman Agora, a reminder of the city's Roman past. The district's proximity to the Acropolis means that visitors can easily combine a visit to this iconic site with a leisurely stroll through Plaka's alleys, where every turn reveals a new piece of history or a stunning view of the city.
Plaka's vibrant atmosphere is complemented by its array of shops, where travelers can find everything from handmade jewelry and traditional Greek crafts to fine art and antiques. The neighborhood is also home to numerous tavernas and cafes, offering the perfect opportunity to sample Greek cuisine or enjoy a cup of coffee while people-watching in a picturesque square.
For those interested in cultural experiences, the Museum of Greek Folk Art and the Jewish Museum of Greece provide insights into the country's rich cultural tapestry. Meanwhile, the restored neoclassical homes, some of which have been converted into small museums or galleries, add to the area's cultural allure.
Despite its popularity, Plaka has managed to retain a sense of tranquility, especially in the evenings when the day-trippers have departed. The neighborhood's winding streets and hidden courtyards become even more enchanting as the sun sets, and the Acropolis is illuminated above, creating a magical backdrop for an evening out.
In addition to its historical and cultural offerings, Plaka is also known for its lush green spaces. The National Garden of Athens is just a short walk away, providing a peaceful escape from the urban environment with its shaded pathways and quiet ponds.
In essence, Plaka is a destination that offers an immersive experience, where the past and present coexist harmoniously. Its combination of historical significance, cultural richness, and enchanting ambiance makes it an unforgettable part of any visit to Athens.
