Set in the coastal landscape of Hanko, Svärdskog is located immediately on its own private beach with far reaching sea views. Designed with care, the property reflects the finest of Nordic design, with light-filled interiors, natural materials and strong connection to nature. The home includes three bedrooms, a sauna, and a living area with a spacious kitchen. A wood-burning fireplace, a terrace with outdoor furniture, lounge area and easy access to the sandy beach complete the setting.
This architect-designed home, created by Joarc Architects, combines top-level design with an open seaside setting. Positioned on a private 3-hectare plot with its own sandy beach, the property looks directly south across the sea. While a forested area shelters the house from behind, the front opens fully to the water, offering uninterrupted views and a constant sense of connection to the sea.
Indoors, the layout is built around light, openness, and comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows keep the sea in view from the living area, where you can see boats and ferries passing by throughout the day. Underfloor heating allows each room to be adjusted separately, ensuring year-round comfort. The kitchen is equipped with a Sage Barista espresso machine, adding a touch of everyday luxury with perfectly crafted cappuccinos and espressos.
The spa area completes the experience, with a wood-burning sauna and outdoor shower (available April–October) providing ways to enjoy the shoreline in every season.
