This delightful converted barn offers comfort and tranquillity in the small village of Frolois, in the heart of the Côte d’Or countryside making it a perfect base for discovering Burgundy.
The Little Barn is a light, bright property over two levels, which has been renovated and furnished to the owner’s high standards with plenty of personal and homely touches.
Outside there is wooden decking terrace with dining for 6 and a barbecue as well as a lower garden terrace with sun loungers from where you can enjoy the views of the village below and the peace and quiet of village life, interrupted only by the occasional car or tractor passing the house.
The friendly owners live discretely in the house next door and are nearly always available to assist in providing information on all the local attractions and arrange private wine tastings nearby. They can also arrange extra services such as a shopping service to make your arrival pain free, fresh bread and pastry delivery as well as home-cooked meals and bespoke menus (please enquire regarding details and prices for additional services).
The Little Barn is a perfect base for exploring the region: this beautiful part of Burgundy has several historical sites, stunning landscapes, lively local markets and of course, wine tasting opportunities all just a short drive away.

Location:
There is much to see and do in this part of France. Within a 15-minute drive are the beautiful Flavigny-sur-Ouzerain, the Roman ruins at Alesia and its new visitor centre.
The Château of Bussy Rabutin, the source of the Seine river, great for picnics, and Venarey les Laumes for your everyday needs are all close by.
Within a 30-minute drive are Semur en Auxois, Montbard with its fabulous swimming pool complex, The Parc d’Auxois (zoo and adventure park) and the 13th Century world famous Abbaye de Fontenay.
Further a-field are historic Dijon, Beaune and Nigloland (theme park). Nearly every day of the week there are local markets, and no visit to Burgundy would be complete without a wine tasting.

Bed linen, bath towels and mats provided. Pool towels for swimming in local lakes or pools are available for hire at 3€ per towel, per week.
On request only and with prior agreement with the owner. If accepted, the owners request that pets are kept off bedding and soft furnishings. Owners must bring dog beds and feeding bowls.
Saturday. All other changeover days on request.
Standard changeover clean included in the price. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
No smoking / No vaping property. Smoking is permitted in the outside area, with correct disposal of cigarette/cigar ends.
