Welcome to our stunning, architect-designed three-bedroom lakeside retreat in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park. Nestled on the tranquil shores of Summer Lake, this beautifully appointed home features an ‘upside-down’ layout that makes the most of the breathtaking views from the upper floor - the perfect setting for a peaceful getaway with family or friends!
Upstairs, you’ll find a bright and spacious open-plan living area with vaulted ceilings, oak wood floors, and panoramic views over the lake. The fully equipped kitchen flows seamlessly into the comfortable lounge, where you can unwind in front of the large TV with Sky and Netflix. Wide glass doors open onto expansive decks, perfect for relaxing, reading, or enjoying a meal while taking in the serene surroundings.
All three bedrooms are cosy and carpeted, each with its own ensuite bathroom for privacy and convenience. The master and second bedrooms open directly onto an east-facing deck - the ideal spot for morning coffee while watching the sun rise over the water.
Outside, guests have access to a private dock where you’ll find two kayaks for use at your leisure. A tennis court is also available just a short walk away through landscaped communal gardens. We have also recently acquired a Boules Pitch which is very close by the house beside the rear gate!
Nature lovers can enjoy the peaceful birdlife from the decks or head out walking, cycling, fishing, or boating along the many surrounding lakes and trails. Fishing is allowed directly from the dock, provided you have an Environment Agency rod licence.
The home has been thoughtfully styled by its owners, a family of artists, combining the elegance of New England design with warm, personal touches throughout. It’s both comfortable and inspiring, offering a calming space to return to after days spent exploring.
Summer Lake is a gated and quiet residential area, with access codes provided to guests prior to arrival. From here, you can easily explore more than 180 nearby lakes, many with cafés, pubs, restaurants, and recreational centres. Cirencester and other Cotswold villages are within easy reach by car or bike, and Kemble Station is just a short drive away, offering direct rail links to London. Cripps Barn, a popular wedding venue, is also close by, making this an ideal base for family gatherings and special occasions.
