The property has air conditioning in all the rooms except in the second bedroom on the main floor, which is equipped with a last-generation cooling unit (fan). Internet WIFI and round sound Bose are available as well. Garden lower level (76 sqm) with one twin bedroom, one bathroom, and a tv/fitness area. The downstairs floor is air-conditioned and has a small kitchenette corner (with laundry area) ideal for breakfast with electric cooker, microwave, electric kettle, and coffee machine. This outstanding accommodation is the ideal location to relax and explore our beautiful lake. Many activities are available nearby, such as water sports, golf, tennis, and great shopping. The closest train station is in Como, just 15 minutes away; you can be in Milan in 1 hour by car or cross the border to Lugano, Switzerland, in just 40 minutes. A supermarket is available in Tavernola, approximately 7 km from the property. A small grocery shop is located about 1 km away. Just across the Swiss border is Foxtown, a designer outlet village with Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, and Ferragamo outlets. This is a no-smoking property. No pets are accepted. An imposing iron electric gate gives access to Villa Castiglioni. On its back, there is the garage and the entrance of the other two upstairs independent units. Zarina is a private and independent apartment that develops over 2 levels (on the whole main floor and on the lower garden level); it has an independent entrance from the garden (through a 10-steps stairway), set in the facade of the villa, overlooking the lake. There is also a second access in the back of the house (no steps) which is shared with the other two units. In a corner of the manicured private garden there is a hot tub for four people where you can relax while looking at the blue waters of the lake. Few steps further there is a patio with vaulted ceilings with a large dining table offering stunning lake views. All the rooms on the main floor of the house, the living room, and the two bedrooms, have direct access to the comfortable patio. On the left side of the house there is the lavish 80 sqm living room with dining area featuring a wooden floor with underfloor heating, Venetian stucco walls, elegant sofas and armchairs, large flat-screen TV with satellite channels for both Sky TV, and Bose surround sound system. The living room is elegant and full of light and benefits from the spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains. Next to the living room, the fully equipped kitchen, with all modern appliances. Granite work surfaces, double oven (traditional and steam), hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. From the living room, a corridor leads to the two bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin beds and flat TV with Sky programs. The two twin beds (90x200 each) can be also joined together. This bedroom is not air-conditioned but has access to the patio. Guests can use the full-sized bathrooms with a Teuco power shower located near the room. The second bedroom, the master bedroom suite, has a double bed (queen size 160 x 200 cm), silk tapestries, hand-painted ceilings, and windows providing views out over the lake. This independent unit with double access is also air-conditioned. Although comfortable, cozy, and very private, it is not as luxurious as the main one. It features a fitness room with plasma TV, a kitchenette/laundry room (washing machine and dryer, ironing board with iron), a bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom with beds 90 x 200 cm — cannot be joined together. Due to the very high quality of furnishings throughout the villa children between 1 and 12 are admitted only upon request and supervised by a nanny; smoking is prohibited inside. WEDDINGS Zarina is also available as a venue for small, intimate weddings. Set in a refined and private environment, it is ideal for celebrations with a limited number of guests, offering an elegant atmosphere and high-level hospitality services. In case of bad weather, the indoor living room can comfortably accommodate up to 24 guests, arranged as three tables of eight. In good weather, the outdoor lake-view terrace allows for a slightly higher number of guests, providing a beautiful and flexible setting for the event. A dedicated wedding package is available on request and includes a minimum stay of three nights for the couple, accommodation for four additional guests, and the exclusive use of the property for the ceremony and related celebrations. THE AREA The part of the Lake from Como to Tremezzo is a sophisticated resort, here you come for the scenery, for shopping, breathing the luxury, enjoying the views from the stylish restaurants and cafés. The ancient villages and enchanting gardens are the setting for the historical villas of the Lombardy aristocracy and offer pleasant stays at any time of the year. From the back garden of the villa, there’s the external access to a pedestrian path which leads down to the lake shore or up to a very nice panoramic route developing for around 15 km, towards Moltrasio. The best way to enjoy the views of the ancient villas and their gardens is by boat.
