Our beautifully restored & furnished historic house transports guests to another time; Federal period architecture meets Victorian and Colonial accents, blending perfectly with the modern amenities. Guests can experience "living history" at their place of respite.
We can comfortably sleep 4/5 guests in our stately house by use of the below;
- Bedroom 1 - king sized bed
- Bedroom 2 - queen sized bed
- Bedroom 3 - Twin sized sofa bed (best suited for a child vs an adult)
The main living space is a great place to relax after traversing the major sights - high ceilings and historic finishings create a spacious, airy feel to the home, and guests can expect to enter a sparkling clean, refined space to call their own.
With plenty of room to spread out and the option to retreat to private bedrooms, guests will have access to the entire home.
The interactive living room is flooded with light, making it an ideal room to unwind and converse, or brainstorm and get some work done!
There is a large TV complete with Smart streaming, and local channels - guests can stream directly from their favorite apps.
There are also THREE idyllic outdoor spaces at the home; the front porch, back porch, and spacious lush garden in the back (with dining seating). All three provide a picturesque way to start the day with a cup of coffee, or to relax with a glass of wine in the warmer evenings.
Guests will have access to the entire home, it is not shared. The basement includes the washer/dryer.
No need for a car at this location!
With the Shaw-Howard Metro (Green and Yellow lines) just steps away, you can be at the National Mall, White House, the Capitol, Monuments and Museums, The Wharf or practically any place else in the city in 20/25 minutes or less.
Prefer something more active? Most central Washington DC features are all within walking. Several Capital Bikeshares are located short strolls away; they offer bike rentals by the hour at excellent rates - a truly awesome way to explore the city, the Potomac Tow Path, the Anacostia Waterfront, and nearby Virginia and Maryland! .
Buses also run up and down nearby 7th Street, U Street and Florida Avenue, just a short walk away.
The G2 bus stop is a 1 minute stroll from the home, and can take guests directly to the historic and iconic Georgetown neighborhood.
The 96 bus can take you to the super trendy Adams Morgan/Woodley Park neighborhood, where you can enjoy the lively night life & dining scene, and stroll the National Zoo!
The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is an easy metro ride from the home (just over 20 minutes), and it’s a short drive as well.
