At "Villa Virginia" you will have the opportunity to experience what it feels like to stay in a stylish & historic accommodation that offers everything a guest might dream of. An ideal neighborhood to enjoy the beach, but also near Glyfada’s Center(1.1 km), with the famous shops, restaurants, and cafes of the Athenian Riviera! The newly renovated Villa Virginia in Glyfada, is truly a one-of-a-kind property and accommodation which was built originally in 1951.
Originally, this unique, two-floor house was built in the 1950’s, and it is located in the neighborhood of Dikigorika (the Lawyers Neighborhood as it is called in Greek), a Hollywood-like part of Glyfada, with premium residences and gardens, minutes away from the beachfront, and by the historical (non-operating) airport of Elliniko.
We are in love with unique places and strive to accentuate their unique character and feel. All of the furniture and art of Villa Virginia, as well as the equipment, is new and picked specifically to suit our property. Each room has its specific colors based on their original flooring, mosaics and character.
We are proud to offer the internationally renowned Coco-Mat mattresses in all of our beds so that we can guarantee a perfect night’s sleep to our guests! Easy to access Wi-Fi, Nespresso Coffee machine, modern dishwasher and washing machine, and the latest technology air-conditioning will make your stay as comfortable as possible!
The two-floor Villa is designed and equipped in a way that can operate as one 250 sq. m. (2,700 sq. feet) accommodation, or as two separate apartments of 125 sq. m. (1,450 sq. feet) each.
Each floor has a large living room and dining room for 8 guests (16 guests in total), two large bedrooms with King-size beds, and one smaller bedroom with a double bed. Each floor has one large bathroom with a bathtub and one smaller bathroom with a shower. A modern, sparkling new and fully equipped kitchen is also found on each level of the property.
Villa Virginia is found on a 500 sq. meter (5,380 sq. feet) privately owned, mesmerizing garden. In the back garden, the truly impressive, glass-pool is located where guests can treat themselves and enjoy the serenity of the natural setting.
The big windows and the balconies of the property offer a unique view of the beautiful garden and a one-of-a-kind space for relaxation.
There is also one parking spot in the property, but there is always plenty of available space right outside the main entrance. The neighborhood is very safe and well lit at night. (If interested, please request availability for the parking spot in the property in advance).
The Neighbourhood is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a serene location, being at a walking distance (300 m.) from Glyfada’s beach, but also just 1.1 km away from central shops, restaurants and cafe’s. There are only quiet villas and houses in our neighbourhood, but within less than 2 minutes drive, or 20’ on foot you are in the heart of Glyfada. Public transportation is only 150 m. away, where you can find the Tram Train (4’ to get to the center of Glyfada) and Bus. Both are connected to the center of Athens as well (10 km away).

About the area
Plaka, nestled at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, is a charming neighborhood that offers a delightful blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty. Known as the "Neighborhood of the Gods," Plaka's labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture transport visitors back to a bygone era, making it a must-visit for anyone traveling to Athens.
The area is steeped in history, with landmarks such as the Tower of the Winds, an ancient octagonal clocktower, and the Roman Agora, a reminder of the city's Roman past. The district's proximity to the Acropolis means that visitors can easily combine a visit to this iconic site with a leisurely stroll through Plaka's alleys, where every turn reveals a new piece of history or a stunning view of the city.
Plaka's vibrant atmosphere is complemented by its array of shops, where travelers can find everything from handmade jewelry and traditional Greek crafts to fine art and antiques. The neighborhood is also home to numerous tavernas and cafes, offering the perfect opportunity to sample Greek cuisine or enjoy a cup of coffee while people-watching in a picturesque square.
For those interested in cultural experiences, the Museum of Greek Folk Art and the Jewish Museum of Greece provide insights into the country's rich cultural tapestry. Meanwhile, the restored neoclassical homes, some of which have been converted into small museums or galleries, add to the area's cultural allure.
Despite its popularity, Plaka has managed to retain a sense of tranquility, especially in the evenings when the day-trippers have departed. The neighborhood's winding streets and hidden courtyards become even more enchanting as the sun sets, and the Acropolis is illuminated above, creating a magical backdrop for an evening out.
In addition to its historical and cultural offerings, Plaka is also known for its lush green spaces. The National Garden of Athens is just a short walk away, providing a peaceful escape from the urban environment with its shaded pathways and quiet ponds.
In essence, Plaka is a destination that offers an immersive experience, where the past and present coexist harmoniously. Its combination of historical significance, cultural richness, and enchanting ambiance makes it an unforgettable part of any visit to Athens.
