Historical listed village combining calm and culture, Maroulas gives you the impression of entering in a small world of the Venetian era. With lots of classified stone houses, Maroulas is located in the first hill overlooking the bay of Rethymnon. With only a hundred of people, Maroulas is a very quiet place. The village has also lots of taverns where you can taste local specialties.
Villa Cand is an ideal starting point for discovering Crete. You will have the advantage of living in a splendid villa steeped in history, while enjoying the tranquility and privacy of the place.
The nearly 400 m² architectural interior of the villa has been elevated to a high level of comfort and beauty to satisfy its customers: stone arches, vaults, tunnels, a professional equipped kitchen, giant screen television, audio equipment and a mezzanine with a work space and Internet/Wi-Fi access.
The ground floor extends over 250 m2. It includes the living area with sofas, arm chairs and a giant screen satellite television with CD/DVD player; the dining area with seating for 12 people, a wine bar with 3 x 300 litres of Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, Grenache and Syrah and a professionally equipped kitchen with an American Fridge. On the same level there is a biliard area and a home cinema. The Mezzanine offers an office space with Internet and Wi-Fi access
The four bedrooms of the villa, are all located on the first floor, all with accessibility to the terrace:
- A 40 m² family bedroom including 2 beds, a mezzanine with a 140 cm x 200 cm bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower.
- A 30 m² family bedroom including a sofa bed, a mezzanine with a 140 cm x 200 cm bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower
- A 30 m² bedroom including a 180 cm x 200 cm double bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.
- A 24 m² bedroom including a 180 cm x 200 cm double bed and a bathroom with shower.
On the same level there is the laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer.
The exterior, from where you can admire the stunning view of the Aegean Sea, is in full harmony with the environment. There is a 60 m² terrace with luxurious Indonesian wooden furniture, deck-chairs, sunshades, sofa’s and a table and chairs for 12 people. You will also be able to organize your barbecues along the swimming pool of 40 m2.
