Clustered around the central courtyard are the main living areas. As you step through the front door, the villa’s playful character reveals itself. Bright paintings, intriguing pieces of art and elegant furnishings are all offset by harmonious views. On the ground floor, you’ll find an inviting living/dining room stocked with digital home comforts and a fully-equipped country kitchen with walls painted by a famous Greek artist.
Five individually styled bedrooms wait to usher you into dreamland each night. The Lady’s bedroom, with its romantic setting, dressing area and adjoining red bathroom can be found on the ground floor. Upstairs, the elegant master bedroom boasts a dressing area, HDTV, DVD player and relaxing sea views. It shares a blue bathroom with the double bedroom/mezzanine next door, which enjoys direct access to the terrace. The basement apartment receives natural light from the courtyard and benefits from a kitchen and living area. Bedroom five is also on the lower level, next to the spa room with hot tub.
Although the inner rooms are extremely comfortable and a sanctuary to retreat to when the sun gets too hot, you’ll probably spend most of your time outdoors. The softly illuminated infinity pool extends a cool invitation any time of the day or night and there are various resting places from which to soak up the sunshine and beautiful views. An elegant lounge area, shaded by a pergola with fluttering white drapes, is a particularly atmospheric place to gather and chat by candlelight in the evenings. Stairs lead to another large terrace, the perfect spot to absorb unrivalled sea views. And if you love the tang of wood smoke, fire up the wood oven for a delicious family barbecue.
If you choose to explore the area on foot, your villa is within an 8 minute drive to the beach and 10 minutes from Akrotiri town. The airport is a 12 km drive.

About the area
Pyrgos Kallistis, located on the enchanting island of Santorini, Greece, is a destination that captures the essence of Greek charm and beauty. This picturesque village is perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the island, the sparkling Aegean Sea, and the surrounding vineyards that produce the island's famous wines.
Travelers are drawn to Pyrgos for its well-preserved medieval architecture, with narrow winding streets, traditional white-washed houses, and blue-domed churches that create a postcard-perfect scene. The village is crowned by a Venetian castle, known as Kasteli, which is one of the five fortified settlements on the island. Exploring the ruins of this castle provides not only a glimpse into the island's history but also some of the most breathtaking vistas in Santorini.
Pyrgos is also celebrated for its authentic Greek atmosphere, less crowded than the more tourist-heavy spots of Oia and Fira, yet brimming with local culture and tradition. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls through the village, stopping at quaint cafes and tavernas to sample traditional Greek dishes and the exquisite local wines.
For those interested in the spiritual heritage of the island, Pyrgos is home to several Byzantine churches, each with its own unique history and charm. The Monastery of Profitis Ilias, situated on the highest point of Santorini near Pyrgos, is a place of serenity and spiritual reflection, with a small museum showcasing ecclesiastical artifacts and offering yet another vantage point for stunning views.
During Easter, Pyrgos transforms into a spectacle of light, as thousands of candles are lit throughout the village, creating an ethereal glow that illuminates the night sky. This tradition is a highlight for many visitors, encapsulating the rich cultural tapestry of the village.
Art enthusiasts will find delight in the local galleries, where the works of Greek and international artists are on display. These art spaces often host exhibitions and cultural events that add to the village's vibrant artistic scene.
In essence, Pyrgos Kallistis is a treasure trove of history, culture, and natural beauty. It offers a more tranquil and authentic experience of Santorini, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking to immerse themselves in the island's traditional way of life while enjoying all the scenic splendor that Santorini is renowned for.
