With bold art, modern interiors, a fully fenced backyard, and a one-of-a-kind mural-covered bus, this three-bedroom retreat has plenty of personality. *Please also note our House Rules in regard to partying and noise before booking: This is not a party house. The house is in a quiet, noise-intolerant neighborhood and quiet hours start at 9pm. This house is meant for enjoying the quietude of the National Park. The open living spaces invite everyone to come together, while three comfortable bedrooms offer room to recharge. Outside, a sprawling backyard opens toward the desert mountains, with plenty of space to stretch out, soak, play, and enjoy the landscape. A wide expanse of desert sand, native landscaping, and open mountain views creates a setting that feels unmistakably Joshua Tree. And parked along the edge of the property is its most unexpected feature: a white bus covered in whimsical black-and-white artwork, a larger-than-life installation that doubles as a favorite photo backdrop. Two hammocks invite you to claim a spot in the afternoon sun, while loungers along the patio offer another place to settle in. After exploring Joshua Tree, rinse off beneath the outdoor shower before slipping into the hot tub and taking in the surrounding mountains. For meals outside, fire up the BBQ and gather at the outdoor dining table. As the evening cools, the fire pit offers a comfortable place to continue the conversation beneath the desert sky. The entire backyard is fenced, creating a defined outdoor space for your group to enjoy. -Living Area- Inside, the design shifts from playful to polished without losing its sense of fun. Tall white walls, clerestory windows, and oversized glass doors fill the living room with natural light, while a dramatic black fireplace wall provides a striking architectural centerpiece. A generous sectional and modern lounge chairs create an inviting setting for movie nights, conversation, or unwinding after a day in the national park. The smart TV offers access to streaming apps, and large sliding doors connect the living room to the outdoor patio and expansive desert views. The furnishings favor clean lines and graphic contrasts, with carefully chosen artwork and unexpected accents lending a distinctive, gallery-like feel. -Kitchen and Dining- The open kitchen is designed to make cooking together part of the experience. Matte black cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, white countertops, and a substantial dark island create a striking contemporary space that feels connected to the rest of the home. Four stools at the island make a natural gathering place while meals come together. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dinnerware, and essential utensils, along with a drip coffee maker for mornings at home. Gather around the indoor dining table or step outside for a meal on the patio, with the desert landscape as your backdrop. Open shelving, colorful artwork, and carefully chosen details add personality without sacrificing function. -Bedrooms and Bathrooms- No Vacancy comfortably accommodates up to six guests across three thoughtfully decorated bedrooms and two modern bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own visual personality, combining comfortable bedding with playful artwork and clean contemporary furnishings. Bedroom 1: A king-size bed takes center stage beneath a vivid orange vintage-inspired grille sculpture. Black-and-white cow-print bedding and colorful geometric pillows give the room a bold, retro character. Bedroom 2: A queen-size bed with green bedding and patterned artwork offers a softer, more relaxed atmosphere, while retaining the home’s distinctive design sensibility. Bedroom 3: Another queen-size bedroom features macramé accents and a sliding door, creating a bright, comfortable place to unwind. An additional rollaway bed is available for flexible sleeping arrangements within the home’s six-guest maximum. The two bathrooms continue the home’s modern aesthetic. One features a striking black-tiled shower with clean geometric lines, while the other offers a warm wood double vanity and playful cactus artwork. -Game Room- The game room is one of the home’s biggest draws, and it’s anything but ordinary. Elaborate black-and-white doodle murals cover the walls with swirling patterns, desert-inspired illustrations, and oversized graphics, turning the entire room into an immersive piece of art. At the center is a full-size pool table, with ping pong and Connect 4 offering more ways to keep the competition going. A comfortable sofa provides a spot for spectators or anyone taking a break between rounds. With space to spread out and plenty of entertainment, this room makes it easy to spend an entire afternoon at home without anyone reaching for the car keys. -Surrounding Area- Joshua Tree National Park and downtown Joshua Tree are the easy outings from No Vacancy, with clear skies for stargazing, desert flora and the local art scene all around. The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies. A keypad at the front door provides keyless entry; your personal entry code will be sent 3 days before arrival. A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed. The drive is simple: the road to the house is flat and paved the whole way, with no dirt roads. Guests can park up to 4 cars in the driveway outside the garage. -This Is Not a Party House- This property is meant to be a peaceful place to connect with nature. Parties and large gatherings are prohibited; please do not book if you are planning to party. Quiet hours are 9pm to 8am, and the house is in a quiet, noise-sensitive neighborhood. Per the Joshua Tree noise ordinance, sound must be kept below 55 dB during the day (about the level of normal conversation) and below 45 dB between 9pm and 8am (about the level of a quiet office). We do not allow music on speakers after 9pm. Excess noise can result in fines and the termination of your reservation without refund. -Hot Tub Rules- Please rinse off any oils, lotions or other substances before entering the hot tub, as they affect water quality. No drinking in the hot tub, please. Keep the cover on when the hot tub is not in use, since desert debris easily gets into the water. Misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional maintenance charge. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- We have weekly hot tub cleanings on Tuesdays, and this day may fall during your stay. Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it has been serviced, as chemical levels are higher than usual for a short time. -Pet Policy- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner’s severe allergy. -Local Experiences- We’ve handpicked an incredible selection of local vendors to enhance your Joshua Tree stay, offering a mix of relaxation, adventure, and everything in between. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Wildlife & Safety- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert. -Security Camera- For your security, there is an exterior camera at the front of the house. There are no cameras inside the home. -Cell Service- Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier.
