At Desert Remedy, the boulders don’t just frame the view, they shape the experience. This five-bedroom Yucca Valley escape is made for groups who love a little adventure without leaving home. Play pickleball among the rocks, spend afternoons between the pool, hot tub and sauna, and gather around the fire pit after dinner. With a sprawling outdoor deck and panoramic desert views, the best days here are the ones without an itinerary.
Step inside this distinctive hexagon-shaped home, where soaring wood-beamed ceilings, a sculptural white stone fireplace and expansive windows bring the surrounding landscape into every room. Warm leather, layered textures, rich brown tile and playful patterned walls give the interiors a collected, boutique feel. The open living spaces invite everyone to come together, while five individually styled bedrooms offer room to unwind. From the upstairs gathering space, sliding doors open onto an elevated patio where the boulders become the backdrop for meals and conversation.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The outdoors is where Desert Remedy really comes into its own. Enormous boulder formations wrap around the property’s 1,000-square-foot deck, creating a setting that feels more like a private desert resort than a traditional backyard. Spend the morning challenging friends on the pickleball court, then head up to the deck for an afternoon devoted entirely to relaxing.
Cool off in the container pool, stretch out on one of the loungers, or alternate between the warmth of the barrel sauna and the hot tub. With the rocks rising around you and the desert stretching beyond, even an afternoon doing very little feels well spent.
Upstairs, the elevated patio offers a different perspective. Fire up the BBQ, set the outdoor dining table for a group meal, and watch the changing light bring out the colors of the surrounding rocks. When evening arrives, the sunken fire pit draws everyone back to the deck for conversation beneath the open sky. For a little solitude, retreat to the covered porch, where a swinging daybed offers a peaceful place to read or nap.
-Living Area-
The main living room has the warmth of a mountain lodge with a distinctly desert personality. Dramatic timber ceilings rise above a collection of inviting sofas and rounded lounge chairs, while a textured white stone fireplace provides a striking focal point.
Large windows frame the surrounding boulders, making the landscape feel like part of the interior. Settle into the leather sofa with a book, spread out for a board game, or gather for an evening of conversation after a day outdoors. With no television in the living room, this space is intentionally centered on slowing down and enjoying each other’s company.
-Kitchen and Dining-
The open kitchen brings character and function together, with glossy chocolate-brown tile, natural wood shelving, pendant lighting and a generous island that invites people to pull up a stool while dinner comes together. A large window above the sink frames the boulder-covered hillside, making even the everyday moments feel connected to the desert.
Fully stocked for preparing meals at home, the kitchen makes it easy to put together everything from a quick breakfast before pickleball to a relaxed dinner with friends.
Just beyond the living room, the second-floor patio provides an inviting outdoor dining space. Grill dinner, pour another glass of wine and linger around the table as the last light settles over the rocks.
-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
Desert Remedy accommodates up to 12 guests across five bedrooms and three bathrooms, with sleeping arrangements that include two king beds, three queen beds and one additional bed.
Rather than repeating the same design from room to room, each bedroom has a distinct personality. Bold botanical wallpaper, warm wood ceilings, vintage-inspired furnishings and rich textures make the sleeping spaces feel thoughtfully collected. One especially memorable bedroom pairs dramatic floral wallpaper with velvet lounge chairs and a cozy seating area, while another features a scalloped headboard, playful decorative touches and access to the patio.
The upstairs primary bedroom, downstairs primary bedroom and bedroom with the additional bed each have a Smart TV with Netflix and Hulu, offering a comfortable place to unwind with a favorite show.
The bathrooms continue the home’s expressive design, with details including a freestanding soaking tub surrounded by deep green tile, a dark-tiled shower and a double vanity. Whether you’re getting ready for a day of exploring or winding down after an afternoon by the pool, these spaces bring a little extra character to the daily routine.
