It is the sister to Mulberry & Pine, in a private, secluded corner of Pioneertown. Sliding doors open the cozy rooms to the patio. Lounge in the sun, play bocce, dip in the seasonal cowboy tub (closed November through March), then end in the hot tub by the fire. Two bedrooms. Green by day, black by night. Sage Moon is a modern Scandinavian home in Pioneertown, remodeled by Wolfgang Pichler Design, with a green-and-black exterior inspired by the Joshua trees and the night sky. It is the sister property to Mulberry & Pine. Sliding doors connect the cozy interiors to a hot tub, a cowboy tub, a fire pit and an outdoor dining patio. With two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, it suits couples or a small group of up to four. The cowboy tub is not an in-ground pool and is closed November through March. The property is not fully fenced. -Living Area- The cozy modern interiors open to the desert through sliding doors, so the landscape feels close from every room. High-speed Wi-Fi and heating and air conditioning are provided. -Kitchen and Dining- The fully stocked kitchen has what you need for meals in, and the outdoor dining patio and BBQ are steps away. -Bedrooms and Bathrooms- Sage Moon has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. -Surrounding Area- Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, La Copine, Joshua Tree village and Joshua Tree National Park all make good outings from Sage Moon. The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please check the property boundary shown in the last photo of the listing. Access to the property is only permitted with a confirmed booking. A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed. The roads are dirt, but low-riding cars can make it. Please note that there is no cell phone coverage at the property. -Cowboy Tub- The pool at Sage Moon is a cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during the winter months (November through March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- We have hot tub and cowboy tub cleanings twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and these days may fall during your stay. -Pet Policy- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed. -Local Experiences- We’ve handpicked an incredible selection of local vendors to enhance your Joshua Tree stay, offering a mix of relaxation, adventure, and everything in between. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Wildlife & Safety- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert. -Security Camera- For your security, there is an exterior camera facing the driveway. There are no cameras inside the home. -Check-in and Check-out- Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability and our cleaning schedule. -Late Check-out- Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter. -Check-out Tasks- Before you leave, please wash any dirty dishes or load and start the dishwasher, place used towels on the bathroom floor, leave used beds unmade, turn off all lights, check for personal items, and lock all doors and windows. No other cleaning or trash removal is required unless noted elsewhere in this listing. -Lost and Found- Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address. -Quiet Hours- Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No external speakers allowed. Please keep voices and music at a respectful level outdoors at all times, and turn off all music, including portable and vehicle audio, during quiet hours. Guests are responsible for any noise fines, and a minimum $1000 fine applies to any noise citation. -Smoking- Smoking of any kind, including cigarettes, cigars, vapes and cannabis, is not permitted inside the home. Outdoor smoking must be at least 20 feet from doors and windows, and all smoking materials must be fully put out and thrown away. Evidence of indoor smoking will result in smoke-removal charges and a $1000 fee. -Visitors- Only guests listed on the reservation may stay at or visit the property unless we approve it in advance, and the total number of people on the property may not exceed the listing’s maximum occupancy. Please message us before inviting any visitors. -Parking- Please park only in the driveway or other designated parking areas on the property. Street parking is not permitted and may result in fines. -Restricted Areas- Any locked closet, room or storage area on the property is reserved for rental supplies and is off limits to guests. Guests may be held responsible for damage or missing items if a locked area is entered. -Hot Tub and Cowboy Tub Care- Please shower before using the hot tub and cowboy tub, and do not add bath products, oils or bubble bath to the water. Glass is not permitted in or near the water, and pets are not allowed in it. Please keep covers in place whenever the water is not in use. Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher. Misuse that requires extra cleaning, draining or reheating will be charged to the guest, and leaving a cover off may result in a servicing fee of at least $100. -Photoshoots and Events- Unauthorized events, weddings, receptions, parties, or commercial use—including photography, videography, advertising, or media projects—are strictly prohibited unless the Host has granted prior written approval and required fees paid and/or permits pulled. Any unauthorized commercial activity or use of the property’s name, address, images, or likeness may result in a penalty of up to $10,000, in addition to any damages or losses incurred, and will result in the immediate termination of the Guest’s reservation without refund. -Cell Service- There is no cell phone coverage at the property. Wi-Fi is available, so please download maps and directions before you arrive. -Damage Waiver Policy- Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
