This 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath soundside home resides near the private beach of Duck, NC – THE reserved, upscale coastal town of the Outer Banks. But just because it’s secluded with many majestic live oaks securing its privacy, doesn’t mean it doesn’t come with tons of fringe community benefits. Hidden Aweigh is a part of the Sanderling community. When you and your family stay here, you’ll have access to the community pool, soundfront park and pier, a network of trails, and a quick 5-minute walk to the private Sanderling beach access!
On the ground level, you’ll find a wide and extensive driveway, plus an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand, and a Classic Weber Kettle Grill to sear your favorite seafood filets. There’s also a washer and dryer for convenient mid-week washes. Venture to the mid-level and you’ll find plenty of room for your family to retire at night. Hidden Aweigh holds four bedrooms, including 3 queen and a pyramid bunk bed that’s perfect for your little ones! These rooms share two hall baths.
Outside, there’s a spacious western-facing porch – a great spot for sipping that morning cup o’ joe. The screened-in porch is a lovely place to relax while enjoying the breeze and an evening glass of wine. The upstairs holds all the common areas that boast high ceilings and plenty of large windows that allow tons of natural light to pour in! There’s also a convenient half-bath on this level. In the evenings, your family can gather in the living room around the HDTV with streaming capabilities for lots of laughs and entertainment. You’ll love the walls and bright furniture that perfectly reflect a peaceful, beachy ambiance. The open concept kitchen has everything you’ll need to craft delicious coastal cuisines and the dining room has plenty of seating for everyone in your group!
The Pristine, Private Beach of Duck, NC
Drive, bring your bikes, or walk on the pedestrian path to downtown Duck and enjoy all the town has to offer. This convenient location is only a 5-minute drive to the Village of Duck where you’ll find fresh seafood, a gourmet market, a produce stand, women’s boutiques, bike rentals, amazing restaurants, water sports gear, outdoor clothing, great bookstores, toy stores, art galleries, gift shops and so much more. All of the stores are locally owned and operated and so close together that shopping can be an all-day event on foot! Scarborough Faire Shopping Center features unique shops and eateries, and also delicious restaurants like Fishbones Raw Bar & Restaurant and Roadside Bar & Grill! For more upscale dining there is the Blue Point Grill, the Paper Canoe, and, of course, the Sanderling Resort. Or opt to head south to the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island and have lunch on the way back at Johns Drive-In, a classic drive-in shack (open May-October) specializing in thick milkshakes, burgers, and fried fish sandwiches located at milepost 4.5. Go North to visit the lighthouse, play a round of mini-golf, enjoy some ice cream or see the Wild Horses of Corolla, take lots of pictures. But remember… don’t feed or approach the horses!

BEACH AND SOUND ACCESS: Beach access is available using Boardwalks 5 through 11. Access to the Currituck Sound is available at the pier and boat ramp located at the Sanderling Racquet and Swim Club. All other piers and beach or sound access locations are private property.
