Neighborhood
Portimão is a large and bustling Algarvian coastal city that has everything a traveller could ask for. Explore the small shops in the historic heart, enjoy the many cafés and restaurants in the harbour area or spoil yourself with some new clothes from the commercial shopping center. Take a boat trip to explore the spectacular coastline, watch dolphins, go for a surf lesson or explore the inland of the Algarve by 4x4, bike or quad. If you can think of it, you can likely find it in the area!
Even though Portimão is one of the bigger Algarvian towns, you will still be able to explore most of it on foot and taxi’s/übers are available, as well as a tourist train where you can hop on and off at the most popular spots in town. If you want to explore the wider region, a hire car is recommended. Note that parking in around the building is mostly free, but you might have to drive around the (one-way) streets for a bit to find a spot.
Transit
There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. But buses and trains do not go very often and a (rental) car is recommended.

➤ Check-in time: 4 - 9 pm. Late arrivals must be agreed upon before booking! Extra payment at arrival might be required. 9-11pm 30 euros and 11-12pm 50 euros. Check-in after midnight is not possible.
