Nestled between the rolling hills of the Alentejo and Algarve border, it’s a place where life moves at a relaxed pace, yet there’s always something to explore. Stroll through its narrow cobbled streets. Just a 5-minute drive away, Praia de Odeceixe is one of Portugal’s most striking beaches, where the Seixe River meets the Atlantic, offering both gentle waters for a swim and waves perfect for surfing. Hike along the Rota Vicentina, taking in breathtaking coastal views, or explore the lush valleys and hidden trails of the surrounding Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina. Transit Odeceixe is best explored on foot, but to reach nearby beaches, hiking trails, and towns, a car is recommended. Lagos is a 50-minute drive (60 km) south, while Sagres is just over an hour away (75 km). Faro Airport is 1h40min (120 km) by car, and Lisbon Airport is about 3 hours (230 km).
