Neighbourhood Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical centre full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs, and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical centre, great food and friendly people. It is located on the coast. You can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area. Transit You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport, and car rental is available in the airport’s parking lot. By train, it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours. Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station that has buses going to/from Lisboa several times per day (takes 3 hours 50 minutes). But do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can quickly get around without a car, and there are plenty of taxis and Uber’s available, but if you want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.
