Neighborhood
For those who love the sea and want to explore the Algarve coastline, there are a variety of activities in the area. If you enjoy walking, you can walk from the Marina to the Old Town where you have two beaches to relax and unwind. The Old Town has lots of winding streets full of culture and local history, from the old statue of St Michael to the beautiful church of St Anne’s. The Old Town Main Square offers a wide variety of shops restaurants and bars.
The local Giro bus goes every half hour from the Marina to the Old Town of Albufeira. If you want to go further afield you can link up with the main bus service where you can visit East to West of the Algarve.
The livelier side of Albufeira is known as Oura or the Strip which is full of bars and restaurants, it also has the popular Oura beach with some amazing coastline views.
You have the very popular Zoomarine park just a 15-minute drive away in Guia and two water parks around a 30-minute drive from the apartment.
If you want to relax or have an adventure, then Albufeira is a great place to stay.
Transit
There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. However, buses and trains do not go very often, and a (rental) car is recommended.
