Deer Hollow
An exceptional stay awaits at this quiet, wooded vacation home located in the Coosawattee River Resort. With soaring ceilings, knotty-pine wall paneling, and a stone fireplace, you’ll have no problem settling in to cabin time. Step out onto the deck or into the sunroom with your coffee first thing in the morning and watch for the deer that frequent the back yard every day. When hunger calls, make breakfast in the open, spacious kitchen, with a full suite of appliances and plenty of counter space. Dine together at the table for six, or have a seat at the table in the sunroom and enjoy the lovely wooded surroundings while you eat.
When it’s time to head out and explore, Carter Lake, Amicalola Falls State Park, the beginning of the Appalachian Trail, apple orchards (and an annual apple festival) are all nearby. The home is also within 15 minutes of downtown Ellijay, wine tasting vineyards, and antique shops. Kids will love the animal rescue center a mile from the home where they can feed the animals. There’s also a raft-rental center nearby if you want to explore from the water.
Onsite perks at the community include a game room, weight room, tennis court, basketball court, pickle ball, and miniature 18-hole golf course, as well as an indoor pool open year-round and a seasonal outdoor pool.
Spend the evening at home, enjoying the quiet. Get the gas fireplace going and watch a little TV or gather around the fire pit in the back yard for some quiet conversation. After a friendly game of air hockey downstairs, head off to bed with one perfect mountain day behind you, and another to come tomorrow.
