Tucked away at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac, Casa Belleza is a cozy Southwestern gem offering the perfect blend of comfort, character, and convenience. Near the heart of Taos, you’ll enjoy easy access to shops, galleries, and local attractions while still savoring the quiet serenity of a private retreat.
Inside, the home’s thoughtful split floor plan features traditional tile floors and soaring ceilings accented with authentic vigas, creating a warm, rustic elegance. The spacious great room brings everyone together with its open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area—anchored by a stunning kiva-style fireplace and surrounding views from the tall south-facing windows.
One of the home’s most special features is the original artwork in the living room with paintings by the owner’s Grandpa, a post-retirement painter and woodworker from Las Cruces, whose work beautifully captures the spirit and landscapes of New Mexico.
Step out onto the shaded front portal with your morning coffee, or perhaps a fresh peach picked right from the tree. In the evening, unwind in the spacious, fully fenced backyard with a 6’ fence, perfect for golden hour lounging, dining al fresco, or picking fresh cherries. And yes, your pup is welcome too! The yard is dog-friendly and the home features a large doggie door.
The kitchen comes fully stocked with all the essentials, including a coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of cookware for home-cooked meals. Stay connected and comfortable with high-speed internet, a washer and dryer, step-free access, and a built-in radon mitigation fan and fire prevention sensor for peace of mind.

About the area
Taos, New Mexico, is a truly captivating destination that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. Nestled in the high desert of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Taos is renowned for its awe-inspiring landscapes that beckon adventure. The area's natural attractions include the Rio Grande Gorge, perfect for hiking or rafting amidst breathtaking scenery, and Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico that's ideal for hiking and skiing.
The town's historic adobe buildings are a testament to its rich cultural heritage. The Taos Pueblo is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Historic Landmark. It has been continuously inhabited by Tiwa-speaking Native Americans for over a thousand years making it one of the oldest communities in the United States. However, it's worth noting that there are other Native American pueblos in the Southwest such as Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico and Hopi villages in Arizona which are considered even older.
Art enthusiasts will be drawn to Taos' thriving art scene. The town has long attracted artists and writers with its extraordinary light and stark beauty. Today, it boasts numerous art galleries showcasing works from local artists as well as renowned figures like Georgia O'Keeffe and Ansel Adams.
Taos also offers an array of cultural experiences. Visitors can explore Spanish colonial history at the San Francisco de Asis Mission Church which was built in the early 1800s making it around 150-175 years old rather than 200 years old as previously mentioned. Additionally, local cultures can be explored at museums like the Millicent Rogers Museum or Harwood Museum of Art.
For those seeking relaxation with a touch of luxury, Taos offers world-class spas and wellness retreats as well as fine dining establishments serving Southwestern cuisine with farm-to-table ingredients.
In essence, Taos is an enchanting destination that combines outdoor adventure with cultural immersion. Its stunning landscapes, rich history, vibrant arts scene, and warm hospitality make it a worthwhile place to visit for all types of travelers.
