Welcome to 1 Sweet Seclusion, a peaceful cabin haven just outside of Boone! This cozy sanctuary is close to everything you’d want, but tucked away with all the privacy you’d expect from a mountain vacation retreat. 1 Sweet Seclusion is conveniently nestled between Vilas and Valle Crucis in the Greene Place Community, with easy access to all the High Country has to offer.
As you make the short drive from Boone, you can start to feel the stress fading away. And as you near the cabin you’ll pass the serene neighborhood pond which is just a short downhill walk from the cabin. Whether to fish or to listen to the bullfrogs sing to you, it’s a great place to meander to in the summer dusk.
When you arrive at the cabin, the driveway leads you to the front deck. It has a tranquil setting within a canopy of trees that frames the mountain view which can be enjoyed either by the comfy Adirondack chairs, the built-in benches, a relaxing porch swing or soothing hot tub. There is also a flat yard area perfect for kids of all ages to enjoy, with a brand new horse shoe pit.
Entering the cabin you’ll find the nicely equipped kitchen with granite countertops. The dining area has plenty of windows and room for the whole group at the table. The living room features comfy leather furniture arranged around a stone wood burning fireplace. The main level of the home has hardwood floors throughout. The back deck is completely screened in and can be accessed from the parking area or through the living area. A firepit sits in the side yard just waiting for evening weenie and marshmallow roasts.
Upstairs is a spacious loft, furnished with a twin day bed with a twin pullout trundle. The cabin has two master bedrooms, one on each floor, and each with its own full bathroom. Both are nicely furnished with king beds and Smart TVs (including Spectrum app for streaming channels which includes ESPN and other sports channels).
Whether your plans include taking in activities such as exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, skiing, golfing, fishing, biking, whitewater rafting, shopping and more, or to just do absolutely nothing but unwind and enjoy life, 1 Sweet Seclusion is the place for you. Come now, memories are waiting to be created.
Additional notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- For larger groups needing additional accommodations nearby, please see our listings: "Kaylee’s Kabin", "Among the Trees", and "Cozy Cabin", all located on the same street.
- This home is pet friendly for up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with a $25 per day, per dog fee.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations
- This home is located down a moderately steep, gravel road. Guests are expected to come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle during winter months or times of inclement weather.
- Returning renters to this home can receive a 10% discount. Not to be stacked with any other offers.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- You may purchase firewood for the outdoor firepit from us and have it delivered prior to your arrival. This service requires one-week notice prior to arrival, no exceptions. The cost for firewood is $25 per night, plus 12.75% tax. Each night purchased includes 2 small bundles (each bundle contains 6-8 pieces of wood) and 1 fire starter log. There is no refund for unused firewood.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
