River Rock Cabin – Mountain Views Just Minutes from Downtown Banner Elk
River Rock is a beautifully finished 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin that sleeps up to 5 guests. Nestled in the center of Valley View, this cozy retreat offers both privacy and convenience—just minutes from downtown Banner Elk, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, fine dining, wineries, the alpine coaster, and more.
The living room features a gas log fireplace, a large smart TV, and a comfortable sofa, with a bonus twin bed tucked along the wall for additional sleeping space. The kitchen is outfitted with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a Keurig—perfect for your morning coffee. A full-size laundry center is just off the kitchen for added convenience.
Each bedroom is located on opposite sides of the home for added privacy. The primary bedroom includes a king bed, TV, and access to a stunning full bath. The second bedroom features a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom that also opens to the hallway. Both bathrooms are beautifully appointed with granite countertops and custom tiled showers with glass doors.
The town of Banner Elk has four distinct seasons, and offers fun family activities all year long. As winter begins, Banner Elk helps thousands of families each year start a family tradition with many Choose-N-Cut farms for travelers to get a Christmas tree. Once the holiday festivities are over, the area becomes a ski town. Known as the Ski Capitol of the South, winter sports enthusiasts flock to the area for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing at the area’s larger resorts, Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain which are both located only a few miles away! Spring and summer in Banner Elk is the perfect time to get out of the city heat. Enjoy a relaxing drive, hike, or picnic on the Blue Ridge Parkway, or take a trip to Grandfather Mountain. For outdoor enthusiasts, Banner Elk is home to many rafting and fishing outfitters, hiking and biking trails, and distinct golf courses. Wildcat Lake is also open to the public, and offers swimming, canoeing, and much more! Come see what the beautiful mountains of North Carolina have to offer!
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax, max of 40lbs each. Pets other than dogs are not permitted
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
