Mariner’s Point is located in Playa Hermosa (Beautiful Beach), 25 minutes from Liberia Airport (LIR). Playa Hermosa is known as one of the top beaches in Costa Rica, with calm water perfect for families. A two-kilometer beach dotted with restaurants, watercraft rentals, sightseeing tours, swaying trees, and scenic volcanic rocks on both ends of the beach. There are 2 grocery stores nearby that also offer alcohol. Mariner’s Point condo is only 200 meters from the beach so a very short walk. The condo is perched above Playa Hermosa so part of the walk to the beach is steep. For those who prefer not to do a steep walk, we recommend using your rental vehicle for the quick shuttle to the beach. Otherwise, it is a great daily exercise! Playa Hermosa is an excellent base to do days trips including hiking, waterfalls, ziplining, ATV, hot springs, horseback riding, catamaran, river tubing, and bird watching, just to name a few.
