With its soaring ceilings and entire walls of glass, this luxe blufftop home in Gualala is a showcase of its spectacular oceanfront setting. At every turn and in every room, you’ll have panoramic views of the Gualala River, the beach at Gualala Point, and the wild and open Pacific Ocean.
This two-story home boasts an incredible location, out on a point with 270-degree views of the ocean coast. The house feels private and secluded, yet it’s also less than half a mile from shops, galleries, and markets in small-town Gualala. It’s the perfect jumping-off point for scenic drives on Highway 1 and visits to Gualala Point Regional Park, the Sea Ranch Golf Links, and the Point Arena Lighthouse.
Slide open the glass doors and bring your coffee outside to the patio each morning, keeping your eyes peeled for whale spouts on the horizon. This is a gorgeous space to return to at sunset for an alfresco meal and a soothing soak in the private hot tub.
The interior is lofty and inviting, with banks of picture windows framing the oceanfront view like a work of art. The open great room is a place to curl up with a good book in the window seat, watch movies (on DVD, Blu-ray, and streaming) by the fireplace, and gather in the sleek kitchen and around the dining room table to prepare and enjoy special meals with a memorable view.
The primary suite has the upper floor to itself, offering a breathtaking vista from the bed, the soaking tub and shower in the en suite bathroom, and the balcony. There’s even a recumbent bike for your morning workouts, a gas fireplace to keep things cozy at night, and a telescope for stargazing and spotting marine life. The two guest rooms are downstairs, each with a beautiful ocean view and direct access to the patio and hot tub.
