Seattle Mountain Home
Described as ’the largest, nicest mountain home close to Seattle,’ this exquisite three-story estate initially designed by Richard Fisher and built with gigantic Douglas Fir logs is precisely what you need for your next escape!
This gorgeous home away from home offers a secluded location nestled adjacent to a national forest on 10 acres of private land that is perfect for snowshoeing or hiking and features a private sledding hill. Enjoy easy access to Snoqualmie Pass ski slopes less than two miles away and the extraordinary hiking trails of the Central Cascades.
If you are visiting during the summer months, Snow Lake, Gold Creek, and the Pacific Coast Trailheads are among dozens of alpine hikes within a few miles. Summertime also offers paddleboarding opportunities on Lake Keechelus and Friday outdoor concerts at Snoqualmie Pass. All of this is only 53 miles away from downtown Seattle.
When it comes to outdoor living, there is no better option than this majestic vacation rental! During the summer, gather around the firepit for storytelling or enjoy the sounds of Coal Creek, a fresh-water creek running through the backyard. The year-round six-person hot tub is perfect after a rigorous hike, apres-ski experience, or for a bunch of children. Host memorable cookouts for your family and friends using the provided gas grill and surprise them with delicious grilled treats.
The elegant, European-inspired kitchen, with electric and gas La Planche ovens and stove top and Wolf appliances, includes a walk-in pantry and cookware. The primary dining room table is adjacent to the cathedral-style living room. One of the two main suites is located on this level with an en suite full bath, and large walk-in closet, and access to a personal deck. You can also find a study with a convenient pull-out couch, plenty of books and board games, a desk, and a smart TV.
The expansive basement is perfect for entertaining with a Ping-Pong table, a shuffleboard table, a dual Pop-A-Shot, a foosball table, a dart board, and an adjacent rec area with a huge smart TV and a massive Lovesac bean bag. The exercise room is perfect for early morning workouts and for the Peloton bike enthusiast who can keep their ’blue dot’ streaks alive while on vacation. The home gym also includes free weights and enough space for a family yoga session. Another great perk on this level is a bunk room with seven bunk beds strong enough to hold adults but more often used for children. The adjacent full bath and laundry room with a full washer/dryer are highly convenient for longer stays.
The loft upstairs features a 12-foot custom wooden desk perfect for the remote worker to have an inspirational backdrop for Zoom calls. Three additional bedrooms are on the second floor, including another main suite with a heated slate floor bathroom with a walk-in shower and full bath, a private balcony, and a separate reading area. The other two guest bedrooms share a fourth bathroom but have enough space to find a nook to read when needed.
Snoqualmie Pass has North America’s largest night skiing operation and receives 400+ inches of snow annually. In the wintertime, the snow falls off the roof, creating an igloo effect around the walk-around porch, and it feels like you’re being transported to another world. The home also features an automatic generator in case power is cut during one of the winter snow storms. Four-wheel drive and snow tires (or chains) are often required to access the home via I-90 during winter. On the subject of driving, electric vehicle owners will love the fact a TESLA EV charger is available for guest use whenever they like. The mountain destination has added bike trails that provide a complete year-round experience for outdoor enthusiasts less than one hour from downtown Seattle.
We hope you enjoy this happy place.
