Once you settle in at the Landmark Lakehouse you’re never going to want to leave! After a day on the lake, including kayaking from our private kayak launch, you can spend the evening fireside watching the stars from the stunning paved patio or relax inside with a movie on the big cozy couch. The next morning you’ll wake from a great night of sleep on the luxurious beds to views of a stunning sunrise over the lake ready to do it all again.
The historic Landmark Lakehouse, formerly an old shop back in the day, has been tastefully restored into a spacious and modern lakeside retreat perfect for your large family or group getaway. With four large bedrooms and spacious kitchen and living spaces you will all have more than enough room to stretch out, relax, and enjoy your lake escape.

Portage Lakes (PLX to the locals) is a vibrant lake community (spanning 14 lakes and reservoirs) with a great mix of full-time residents and seasonal vacationers who all have one thing in common: we love life on the lakes! There are TONS of awesome bars and restaurants dotting the shores, along with all sorts of lake activities to keep you entertained for a weekend or a month.

Things To Know
Payment & Cancellation - 30 Day Policy
Grace Period:
- Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.
Payment Policy:
- 30 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
- More than 30 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 30 days prior to arrival.
- For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.
Cancellation Policy:
- 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
- More than 30 days before arrival: 100% refund.
House rules
- SuitableForChildren,SuitableForInfants,NO PARTIES -- There are ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES or events allowed in the home or on the property. We have neighbors who will notify us of such events, and you will be required to leave immediately with no refund and a negative review will be documented. Extra cleanup from the evidence of a party or large gathering may become subject to a $25 hourly extra cleanup on top of the existing cleaning fee.
- NO SMOKING -- There is absolutely no smoking of any kind anywhere on the property (cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, e-cigs, vaping, etc.), and if in violation you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund in addition to a documented negative review.
- 2 NIGHT MIN -- 2-night minimum. All prebooking questions must be answered to process your reservation. If guest fails to answer any prebooking questions their reservation will be canceled and/or declined.
- LOCAL GUESTS -- All local (Cleveland-based) guests must have at least 2+ positive reviews to book this property. Local guests must have a detailed explanation for renting with Airbnb due to past negative experiences with local guests (see the no parties/large gatherings rule).
- PROPERTY DAMAGES – Any damaged property must be reported to the host. We understand accidents happen, and please make sure to notify the host/co-host if damage to the property occurs. Replacement fees and/or reimbursement for damaged items may occur if needed.
- GUEST PROFILES – All guests must have a complete profile (including verified ID) with a profile picture. We love to see your smiling faces 😊.
- EXTRA GUESTS – All guests on the reservation must be included in the total # (please no unauthorized guests without permission from the host).
- Early Check in & Late Check out: We can accommodate up to 2 hours early check in or late check out for a $25/hour fee. Please give us a minimum of 24 hours for this request in order for us to organize our schedule. Thank you!
- As a courtesy to our cleaners, any uncleaned vomit an or blood will result in a $100 charge to the guest. Nobody wants to deal with that. If you do have a mishap, just clean up after yourself and there wont be any issues =) ,Start: 23:00, End: 20:00
