Area Attractions:
30A is a fantastic destination, the beaches are some of the world’s best with sugar-white sand and emerald-green waters. You will find plenty of beach accesses along a 17-mile stretch of Santa Rosa Beach. It boasts unique shopping, fantastic cuisine, and the incredible architecture that makes 30A famous. There are activities for everyone; kayak rentals, bike rentals, paragliding, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, tennis -- you’ll find it all right here.
The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Seahorse Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 715 feet out from the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Seahorse Reef is at a depth of 13-18 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

About the area
The Florida Panhandle, with its sugar-white beaches and emerald green waters, offers a slice of coastal paradise that is hard to resist. Stretching from Pensacola to Apalachicola, this region boasts some of the most beautiful shorelines in the United States, making it a haven for beach lovers and water sports enthusiasts alike.
Destin, often referred to as the "world's luckiest fishing village," is a prime spot for anglers and those who enjoy fresh seafood. The city's fishing fleet is one of the largest in Florida, and the annual Destin Fishing Rodeo draws competitors from all over. For families, the Destin Harbor Boardwalk is a hub of activity with restaurants, shops, and attractions like zip lines and dolphin cruises.
The Panhandle is also home to several state parks and natural preserves, such as St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach, where visitors can hike, snorkel, and spot wildlife. The nearby Gulf Islands National Seashore offers pristine beaches, historic forts, and nature trails.
For a dose of culture and history, the capital city of Tallahassee provides a wealth of museums, art galleries, and historic sites, including the Florida State Capitol building and the Museum of Florida History. The city's canopy roads, draped with Spanish moss, offer a picturesque drive through old Florida landscapes.
Pensacola, the westernmost city in the Panhandle, is rich in history with its Historic Pensacola Village and the Pensacola Naval Air Station, home to the famous Blue Angels flight demonstration team. The National Naval Aviation Museum is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts.
The Panhandle's smaller beach communities, such as Seaside and Rosemary Beach, are known for their New Urbanism design, offering charming town centers, outdoor events, and family-friendly atmospheres. These communities often feature outdoor concerts, farmers' markets, and film festivals, providing entertainment beyond the beach.
For those seeking a more secluded experience, the Forgotten Coast near Apalachicola offers a quieter, more laid-back vibe. Here, visitors can explore the unspoiled beaches of St. George Island, taste world-famous Apalachicola oysters, and discover the charm of small coastal towns.
Whether it's lounging on the beach, exploring the great outdoors, or delving into the region's history and culture, the Florida Panhandle caters to a diverse array of interests, making it a compelling destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure.
