From here, you can park your car and walk everywhere — to fine dining, shopping and movies, as well as to nearby Lovers Point and the popular Recreation Trail bordering the bay.
The modern condo is within walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Also close by are the world-class golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach, the natural wonders of Big Sur, and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.
The building, originally a famous department store founded in 1918, was frequently visited by legendary author John Steinbeck who purchased his writing materials and household items there. The home is named “Cannery Row” after one of Steinbeck’s novels.
Living Space
Guests enter into the open floor plan area that blends the living room, dining room and kitchen seamlessly.
This brand-new 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath, 2,200 square foot condo in the historic Holman Building offers high-end designer touches throughout. The unit includes a wall-set electric fireplace with remote control, hardwood floors, modern décor and wall-to-wall windows that give picture-postcard views of downtown Pacific Grove. Located on the 4th floor, this condo is bathed in natural light and offers panoramic views of downtown Pacific Grove.
In the living room, a selection of comfortable contemporary furniture invites conversation, togetherness, and relaxation by watching the 75-inch HDTV above a remote-control electric fireplace that changes colors with the touch of a button. A home control panel is also available for you to link with, via your Bluetooth devices.
Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen features gleaming quartz countertops, European-style modern cabinetry, and top-of-the-line Fisher & Pykel stainless steel appliances including a five-burner gas range. Kitchen counter seating for 4 is available at the large island. A well-equipped bar area has two wine/beverage refrigerators.
A table with seating for 6 is placed in the great room near the windows so you can take advantage of the downtown view while dining or enjoying a glass of wine. Well-equipped for extended stays!
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 features a California king bed and views of the quaint downtown area and a peek of Lovers Point and the bay. The bedroom suite also includes a 55-inch HDTV with Sonos soundbar and a walk-in closet.
The en suite bath offers dual sinks, deep soaking tub and separate two-person shower with built-in niche to hold shower necessities.
Bedroom #2 - Queen bed, 55-inch HDTV and views of downtown.
Bedroom #3 - Queen bed, décor in tones of blue, gray and white, and locally-themed artwork.
A full hallway bath includes a spacious shower with built-in seat.
The home has a half-bath and a laundry room with front-loading machines.
One small assigned parking space in the building’s shared, underground garage (suitable only for small vehicles as navigating the garage is tight). Additional parking is available on the street or in a nearby municipal lot on a first come, first served basis.
Sorry, this is not a pet friendly building.
Please note that in 2024 there is an construction project in the lot to the rear of this building. Your view will not be impeded.
This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.
